there are developments in a few; micro-supercapacitors - implant devices in the body, powered by heart beat. also pseudocapacitors, half lithium half supercap, good for cars. some wacky ones built into clothing.
everybody makes commercial cylindrical caps, some coincell, a few surface mount, and only one prismatic. i'd get worried if there was competition for the latter.
