Made my very last top up!! Sharebel, if there has been share manipulation I do not have enough faith that the FCA would acknowledge it, let alone do anything about it. Hopefully we have seen the bottom and it's now a steady rise. Regular updates would help calm the nerves and we may even begin to see the green boxes disappear.
I've nearly completed the filtering exercise. This is not to just read how great AM is or how fantastic the company and its prospects are, but to read and, even for me, to engage in constructive criticisms and concerns without all the irrelevant, unnecessary, and disruptive unpleasantness. There are a good few posters here whose opinions and concerns I want to read and digest. If they are critical of AM, and some are, they have genuine reasons and their opinions are backed by their own professional knowledge and expertise. They do not just post negative rubbish based on hot air and a desire to sow doubt. The filter button is a godsend. GLALTH.
First off, I am not an oil expert. I guess most on here aren't either. All of us have a choice. Art is an oil man and we can choose to trust him, or not. I would describe him as idiosyncratic and from what I have seen he can make things appear a bit convoluted. However, I don't think he is a liar. He has taken COPL through some difficult negotiations and he has had to perhaps stretch the truth a little in order to present the company in as best a light as he can. It's easy to pass judgment from the comfort of our armchairs and slate someone like Arthur who has so many balls in the air to juggle, and a company to run. It is not a job I could do and would not want to, when there are so many who will jump at the first opportunity to criticise. I am hoping Art just needs time to put everything together. I believe the guy has a handle on what to do over the next 6-9 months and my choice is to give him this time (at least) and to trust he will bring home the bacon. If you disagree with me then sell up and move on. Like on all bb's there are some posters who are worth reading but many many others who should simply be ignored and filtered. I have now read enough to start the extensive filtering process. There are going to be a huge number of green boxes appearing on my screen from now on. As ever GLTALTH.
This was my very last throw of the dice. Having lost heavily, most recently in WRES and SNG along with many others over the years whose fundamentals etc were sound etc etc, I was hoping this would at least refund my losses. I understand the frustration of many LTH's. This could and should give huge returns. I'm just hoping this doesn't end up as another sh*t show like every other 'investment' I have made. Good luck to all genuine investors.
My original stake of 30k 8 or 9 years ago has almost gone. I certainly know how to pick them. AFPO, TRP, HUR, MSMN,NEW amongst others and now culminating in WRES and SNG. I thought naively that COPL would be the one. It may turn out ok but my track record doesn't fill me with any confidence not helped by the convoluted issues that seem to go with this investment. I have lost money every time. I now hope COPL will help me recoup some of my 30k and if you are newly invested here or anywhere else tread very carefully. My 30k losses are chicken feed to those suffered by some folks. SNG and WRES were recent real kicks in the teeth and a reminder for me that you can take nothing for granted. Both may come good in the end but who knows. I am not posting out of bitterness or trying to deramp, but just to warn anyone new to this to be prepared to lose most of your stake. COPL looks good but it is not a done deal. Something no one expected could come out of left field and scupper things. However, and strangely enough, I sleep better than ever now because I expect nothing anymore. This whole experience has been a costly exercise for me over a number of years but it has been very interesting and often gripping. Has it been worth 30k? Definitely not, but I feel wiser and much less cavalier about money. As far as COPL is concerned, the next few weeks will be interesting and should provide investors with a decent return and if the ducks line up, a spectacular one. But you never know. Time will tell, but this will be my final punt in the AIM however things turn out. Good luck to all genuine long termers. Fingers crossed, this is the one.
This was the last roll of the dice for me having lost more than 90% of my original investment in various so called solid companies, the last being WRES and SNG. I honestly thought at long last I might finally, at least, get my money back here. This will just sit whilst I wander off into the sunset with my tail between my legs. It may come good in the end. What a lesson. Anyway good luck to everyone. I hope things work out.
Had a chat with some mates in the pub last night discussing the pros and cons of the oil situation. I did not disclose my investment here as I didn't want it to be a distraction. The argument centred around how best to bring most pain to the Russian economy. A few of the lads were convinced the US would ask the Saudis to flood the market collapsing the oil price and therefore adding to Russian woes. I don't think it's likely but I don't know enough to think it could happen or not. Hopefully some of you more knowledgeable posters could kick this idea into touch as it did give me cause to think.
I have not posted here before and don't post much anywhere. I lost almost the lot in WRES and SNG in particular (this morning). This is my last throw of the dice. I hope that things will not go t*ts up here as well. I do know it's not all about me (of course) but I feel I bring the death knell to every share I invest in. I have yet to recover from this morning. I suppose (pathetically) I am looking for a bit of reassurance. Anyway............... lets hope for a good cpr when it eventually arrives and some good sensible decisions from Art. Good luck to us all.
To all those with whom I have shared a beer or two and the other genuine posters (you know who you are), I would like to wish you a very happy Christmas and a profitable (very profitable) 2022. I don't post much but I will not post again. I will continue to read this board but not engage. I will keep my reasons to myself for fear of having this message removed. To GIT, Kev, Safety etc, I hope we can again share an ale or two and celebrate the success of this company. Good luck to us all.
Have posts been taken down? I can see no posts beyond11.19.
Safety, I came to the conclusion ages ago that certain posters are not worth giving the time of day to. Their contribution is worthless. I understand that both sides of an opinion need to be considered and we should not be blind to the many issues that exist when we invest in a company such as WRES. However, these guys just post negativity all of the time, just for the sake of it. I don't understand their motivation and neither do I care. I filtered them ages ago and my time on this board is much the better for it. Good luck to us all in the coming weeks and months.
Mother my age has not stopped me spending on fast cars, loose women, wine and a whole host of other things. I usually spend this money between the hours of 11pm and 6.30am. Then I wake up.
Well mother, I will be 70 in H2 2022, and I was certainly hoping all of this would have been done and dusted and my profits would be sitting in the bank by now. Ah well.
No codes. Someone just needs the cash to take his missus out for a slap up lunch.
GIT ( good morning). You have summed up my thoughts exactly.
Good find Mullins. Muchas gracias Senor.
Hi GIT and Topb. That just about sums it up. GIT has been invested here for a long time and (I think) has visited the plant. I have been here for some time (less than GIT) but I have met and quizzed MM. Many others have also spoken at length with him. I believe it is unusual for ordinary investors to have access to the CEO and to have the company arrange for visits to the plant itself, which happened a couple of years ago. I think many are continuing to invest because they have seen the potential with their own eyes and not just from a video. It is taking much longer for the plant to fulfil its potential than any of us envisaged. However, the tungsten is still there and the plant is beginning to produce the quantities of concentrate it was designed for. MM may or may not release figs for October. If he does and they are good, it might have a positive impact on the sp. He has said however, that he will give production figs every 3 months so we may have to wait until Jan. The last couple of years have tested the patience of everyone, me included. Will we make money here? On balance, provided nothing further comes out of left field, I think we have a really good chance (when Regua comes on stream), of making a sizeable profit (particularly if we get close to $40m ebitda, which is not beyond the realms of probability). 12-18 months looks like the time scale now. So Topb, it's up to you. Those are my opinions only and I am not trying to influence one way or another. Some think I am deluded by staying and there are many things that could knock us further off course. You pays yer money etc. Good luck with what you decide to do.
