Robbie,
When was the last time Welsh gold was sold in any significant qty at 30x the going rate?
It is these types of comments which can mislead people on this board.
I know there have been occasions where small nuggets or jewellery has been sold at a premium.
I can't see any business or investor seeing value in paying a 30x premium for the gold we are going to mine and extract. Certainly not in any meaningful qty's.
Not trying to sound argumentative, but trying to put things into perspective for other people reading this board.
All the best.

You are mad if you think this is a reputable company. An investment in this company is nothing other than a high risk punt. With high risk comes high rewards (hopefully) - I am heavily invested and believe it will come good for a short period at which point I will exit.
But calling ALBA reputable is far from accurate. They have not met any time lines they have indicated in the past. The share is at an all time low. There are continual share dilutions (I expect this due to the nature of the business however I feel a lot of people on this board are continually surprised at the fund raising activities.) The company's mission statement talks about benefiting from new assets previously mined/explored/proven, however they are going into an unproven lithium asset. There are plenty of aspects to get frustrated about.
All that said, we are all in this this because we think/pray/hope it will come good one day (soon!)
Do your research, and set your own realistic expectations.
All the best, TP
I sent this email mid Feb:
Good afternoon,
I believe the mining license will expire in the coming year or so.
I am aware we have been waiting for the dewatering application to be agreed by NRW before we can progress to the next step.
Can you advise what Alba’s position will be when the mining license expires? Will a new license be applied for, or will the existing license be extended for a number of years?
Is there any official updates / videos / VOX interviews to cover expected timelines due to come out shortly?
I am an investor and spend a fair bit of time online looking at various discussion platforms, and I am aware many other investors are curious about these matters.
I have looked through the historic RNS’s but cannot answer these questions myself.
Alba responded shortly with:
Sorry for the slow response on this occasion.
Yes, we’re still waiting on the NRW which is super frustrating for everyone, but the company remains optimistic that it will be able to move forward soon.
When a company has a licence, it can be extended as long as a certain amount of work has been undertaken at the site.
Alba continues its exploration efforts so that won’t be an issue.
We would love to publish timelines but given its reliance on the NRW, the Company is unable to do this. If you take a look at the Q1 2022 presentation, there is a timeline – as soon as Alba gets the go ahead from the NRW, that programme will, I imagine, kick in.
Hope this helps.
I followed this up early March with the following:
Thank you for the detailed response.
Can you confirm if NRW application is also preventing the Waste Rock Dump progress?
Is there another application or is this somehow tied into the dewatering permit again?
My understanding is that the Waste Rock Dump excavations and processing will be the quickest route to generating a revenue.
I would hope this revenue may prevent the need for further share dilution or selling of other assets.
Are you able to share any comments on this?
I know you are constrained by legislation on what can and cannot be said/shared.
I am most interested in understanding what is preventing progress in the excavation and processing of the rock dump.
I look forward to your response.
Alba's response:
Sorry for the late reply.
Yes, we are expecting to start processing at the waste dump before anything else.
Unfortunately, the entire project is on hold until the NRW makes a decision – and when that will be is anyone’s guess – they keep pushing back the date. The good thing is, is that they are communicating with the Company’s environmental consultants – which can only be positive.
Hope this helps and once again sorry for the slow response.
I dont think this reveals anything new, but clarify's Albas current position and how they still have their hands tied by NRW. It is exciting to hear the waste dump is still going ahead with the target of generating a revenue. I suggested you look up the Q1 2022 presentatio
Scotalba - thanks for sharing this news. This could make things very interesting in the not too distant future. Fingers crossed this application get processed in a timely manner!
This news has made my Friday significantly better :)
Well said Divermike!
This share is a game of patience. Live long and prosper (when this eventually matures in a 5 years time . . . . )
Hi Prentice,
Thanks for the response. I am pretty sure I have already listened to the Vox interview, but will revisit it.
Afternoon all,
Has anyone got any advice on where I can look to see if further progress has been made on any of the applications?
I have been visiting: https://publicregister.naturalresources.wales/Search/ - then search Clogau, and scanning through the permit applications you can gain a fairly good view of progress. I have noticed the address shared by GMOW on companies house, is also shared by Alba Resources.
Does anyone have any other places to search for updates or to gain better traction with what is actually happening on the ground?
I read lots of comments about de-watering permit being due in the coming weeks, well, have been reading things like this for months. I am not after short term gains, I am in this for the long run. It just feels timelines have slipped significantly from expectations set in Alba presentations/statements etc.
TIA
There are lots of free trading apps now. Trading212 is a good example. Zero purchase/transaction costs. These fee free app's do have multiple other weakness's - not always the best idea to use a free service, if you want a top service. I would happily dabble small amounts on one, but never put any proper investments in there.
Lee, I feel your pain, I was also heavily invested at that point. I remember the hype well, it was a very exciting time. I remember trying to calculate shipping times and trying to figure when the processing machine would arrive based on its transit route, through Ireland (from memory, i think?)
I think its fair to say the management have been more than optimistic, but as investors, we should be making our own informed decisions - on a stock worth less than half a penny, what else would you expect?!
If 2 years ago, we looked and studied through the historic RNS's, we probably could have figured this was going no where fast.
Personally, I am not even betting on drastic increases in the SP if dewatering permit is granted. I hope I am wrong in this.
H, I disagree with your comments. I think anyone who has bought into Alba hoping for some quick financial wins has made a serious error. Alba is an exploration company and the fact large parts of this process depends on permits and formal applications, and then governing bodies accepting/approving licenses o granting approvals, means time frames are largely out of Alba's control. Then add the delays resulting from covid, how many months were lost for this reason alone?
Thanks Ocelot :)
Has the separation of the Greenland assets already happened? Is Alba Resource retaining any ownership of this? I am trying to catch up on the past years history and am getting mixed messages from different online sources. The RNS's indicate the split has happened, with Alba retaining 54% ownership?
Any help or a break down on events would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi, I used to be involved follow Alba share price and news religiously.
I have recently re-bought in and am curious to see what people are thinking for an exit target?
I am very out of touch but remember the days when people would take about 0.7p target. This was never reached and I suspect was said by rampers trying to cause hysteria.
Any thoughts on current exit price for the following year?
New machines due to arrive in Feb. This will increase production rate and should bolster SP significantly. If BTC continues to grow in value, which is fair to presume due to the unrest in the US at present, its anyone's guess how high this could go.
I hope to these are still growing in value by mid-end of Feb and I hope I haven't given in to temptation to cash in early at that point!
Great insight and nice read - cheers RockingGoose
I think as the shipment has not already arrived from the date the photos were posted (25th Nov) it is fair to presume the plant is coming from South Africa. This will typically take between 3-4 weeks pending ship speed and weather conditions. Mid to late next week would be the earliest time frame the ship would arrive. But that doesn't take into account customs & ex delays, transit time from port to site and equipment set-up etc. 21st to the 23rd Dec has my bet for the RNS announcement. Fingers crossed I'm wrong and it comes earlier!
@ KKR - fingers crossed you're right! Would be a great Christmas treat.
KKR, what makes you believe all this news will be delivered Friday? I am hopeful for some positive news in Dec as GF has suggested this multiple times. However I get concerned when people start speculating specific dates, it causes other readers to get their hopes up etc.
