Slow creep to 75p by next Friday I reckon. It reached 72, with expected reduction. Then again who knows, hovis and Q1 sales (whichever comes first) will be the next spike, or promotion to FTSE 250. All good, and never boring. I can see the logic with this doubling in price, once the big boys see if then bang. Maybe they already have ? I dont understand the auto buys fully, but i know bigger things are in play.
Im not used to a rise the day after results.and 14.93% increase. Its held up well. Looking forward to tomorrow. Maybe more of a move into the 70's. Sticking for a while, maybe along while, and news will be out abput the director buys.
Im staying, no where better to be anyway. The way its going 90p to £1 will not be too far away, and to me this is amazing, but fair. Broke 65p , nearly 70p today , and today it could end at 70p. What a difference a month makes :-)
I understand the play down on Q1, as its a spike not an upward trend. Play it down for when figures resume to normal. Its a better strategy than playing on it being the new norm. Happy with the figures and still more to come when we sell Hovis. Good rise and the future looks bright, with no nasty surprises in the results. We have turned a corner.
Dividend ? All we need is confirmation of what we know, and a little bit more. Continued profit growth and debt pay down, and the sale of hovis in the future, will add more and more value. The cherry on the cake tomorrow will be a dividend. If not , happy with profit increase and debt pay off with reduced lending costs and increased profits. Did i say dividend as well, oh and promotion to FTSE 250. A sniff of a takeover will help the share price, but i dont want another company to reep the rewards. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Got to hold, and wait and see for me. People will jump both ways today. Expecting a flat finish. Tomorrow who knows, rise and sell off. Depends if andivi is announced as people will stay for that. Imagine some cash for staying in for years, other than profit.
Kullamama. Your post and reasoning is excellent. I remember buying TW at 25p and sold at 52 to pay down my mortgage, and its now at 1.50. I have paid attention to your post, and.i am more than happy to wait and see. This share has a habit of bursting quickly with the right news. I dont want a takeover, i want the business to get stronger, and obviously the price to rise as a result. No hurry to sell this, would be nice to see a dividend, but opinion on this has been mixed in the past as deby weighs us down, but hovis sales, bumper profits, pension payment reduced , debt will reduce......so we could get a divi. Im very invested in the company, so will wait and see. Always loved the products and always seen the potential. I think this will pay off.
Im a long time holder. Ive seen the patterns before, but i really think this has turned around. As long as the results match what they have told us this will rise. If we get a dividend, either a one off or continued one, again we are laughing. I know debt reduction will improve overall performance but institutional investors want dividends. If we get this as a result of profits 85p here we come. I do remember the price consolidation though, and paying 50p on the rights issue. Many years ago. I dont think i am getting carried away and 65p before results should be about.right.
