Share price seems to be stable after all the good news on debt and profits. Like a little uplift up to Q1 results, divi date coming up, so do we think a quarterly divi will happen ? The lock down talk is relevant, but i dont see if happening. Today they have said that 75% of people in hospital havent had the vaccine. With most of adults having the vaccine, its a milder illness. Im double jabbed. Starting to go out, but still like having my sharwiods, home pride, angle delight and kipling goodies. It was wet in may as well :-)

Was fridays stop hunting any part of the short postion reduction. Im learning a lit from how the price is manipulated and its really interesting. Ive decided to hold anyway, but love the idea that they have to close their short soon or pay the dividend on yop of the loss. Expect a rise next week as people buy back in , but understand the stop loss a lot more and how it was manipulated friday.
I was in 10 years ago, and the consolation went with a rights issue. I think it was 50p a share when the price was a lot higher at the time. It soon dropped , but has held around the 40s for years. Im not sure if the consolidation was before or after the rights issue though.
Expecting a steady rise today after the cinference call. Well chuffes with the dividend. Happy day. The initial rise to 108 was nice too. Happy to see this build even further now. Strange it went to 114 on a rumour of a dividend. Just the was it goes. Expect 114 in the very near future, and looking forward to a rerate. Looks like we have a new finance provider, the rate will be interesting. The banks were probably fighting to finance us with the improved balance sheet.
My mind hasnt changed, this has to pay a dividend for institutional investors to buy in. She share price will increase because if tgis. We all know weaker companies that in compasrison to PFD have more risk and debt. A pay down if some debt and dividend is my preffered option. I will sell some, but remain for a.long time to come. PFD is my long time hold out of all my shares. I sold MAB and a chunk of CCL and put them in here, even though i think they will improve in the months to come.
I dont normally go into the financial side, but this share enabled me to pay my mortgage off 6 years ago. 6 years later, and i can now pay off my new, higher value mortgage, all wrapped up in an ISA, due to the last years rise, with plenty left over, and i still see more value to come.
Prior to lockdown the company saw month after month if growth. It was heavily in debt, and expensive debt as well. Lockdown gave them a shot in the arm to payoff more debt. I can see the point that sales will drop, we will see a decline. But profits will be higher than before lockdown based on interest savings. In the millions. A smarter , more peofitable company, oh and the pension problems are on there way to being sorted, if not already. Depends on what the markets think i suppose. Dividend brings institutional investors who only invest in companies who pay an income. I think we could still see higher sales than before lock down for months, years to come due to home working. Not long to see the fruits of their labours. Kall can usually predict potential year end profits, the first quarter results in July ahould be good, abd yes, i am a big fan of PFD.
Hi Jim, im hoping it is. For a period of full lock down, and the lack of anything new makes me hopeful for the year end results. I saw 3 days to close the short position yesterday.Advertising seems to have boomed, or i am looking out fir it mire, sharwoods, kipling and noodles all in one ad break yesterday. Maybe im looking out for it.
4.9 million shares shorted with 3 days to go to close. Whatever this means. Maybe they are about to loose a lot of money as the price has risen. Todays close is 96.9, lse is showing the 2 million and 2.5 million trades at 2pm as the close price. I always live the week before reporting, this week hasnt been too bad though. Flat is good. 1.30 is better
300k chunk yesterday as well, they had about 42 million left when the last rns was issed , so can not have too may left.2 weeks is a long time with PFD everything can change. would like to know who is buying, and would PFD wait until results day for a one off / resumption of a dividend. Would no dividend see a reduntion in price ? Im sure the rise to 114 was on the back of a potential divide d, but no news on further debt reduction so fingers crossed.
