Does the buying of 1 share at 94.5p really impact the share price. I see this most days that someone buys at a price that then becomes a daily high ? It just looks like a way of artifically.inflating the price to me. The larger buys and sells dictage the actual closing price. see this a lot with PFD 1 share buys but with no other share ??
It will be interesting to see which businessess would be considered for a windfall tax ? Supermarkets have increased expenses and as 3card said how do you tax the owner of a food and clothing company who half if the business is closed. Would you tax John lewis who are closed on the high street, but have a food store ? M and S are the same, shops closed, food open ? .Should they tax the banks who didnt see bad debt because people where furloughed ? Where do you draw the line ?
Whitelane got kicked out years ago, and came back as the ghost of. I think there will always be people who ramp up or down, or just inform. Thats why we are all here.to get info, even if the opinions dont agree with ours and make us laugh a bit
Thats more like it. Is the move in share price linked to the change in exec director from nissin. I dont want a takeover as i still think there is loads of value locked in for us long time share holders, but could this be a possibility. Will increase the price a bit, but hopefully not nissin so we can reject it like MARS did. Kallumamma, what do you reckon ?
Jed, just 21 shares at 96p, so £20. Think its the gamers rather than norm. Not too long to go until results, and the market seems to be moving away from a quick covid recovery and everyone stopping buying our products and filling the pubs and restaurant's. Just dont see this happening anyway. Happy to.stay.and see how this progressess.
Im staying put for a while. Results and continued lock down will help. The week isnt over yet either. : -) VMUK and CCL and HBEU are my others rather than tesco. Was in MAB but sold way too early at 2.80 after buying at 2.30, but still seems to he rising on takeover rumours. Gutted.HSBU will rise when the dividend is reinstared but up loads. I know HSBC are not popular on here after the rating drop.
I am expecting a rise in the share price regardless of any announcements on the back of the release of captial. I dont really understand it, the funds in the share account . Only that it allows PFD to pay a dividend in the future more easily than if they dont go to court to release the capital. Is this money in the bank ? Does it allow them to.pay down debt ? Does it make them more attractive to a takeover ? Are any private equity companies interested ? And surely our value is closer to 1.6 billion than 840 million due to our potential profits and reduced debt. I think the profit takers must have had there profits by the share price friday finish. My only feeling is the same as before, too good a company and share to sell at the moment, and although the recovery is enhanced by lock down, we were in recovery before it, and it will.continue after it. Long term hold for me, but expect some short term.gains next week. And full year results........welll. interested in the capital release impact in the company , if anyo e knows. The impact in share price is anyones guess I know.
Interesting that 1 negative report and 1 company shorting the stock has this impcact ? But, it worked ???? Hoping for another game stop to kill the shorters, or maybe some publicity for the positive reviews ? Not budging until way after year end results , abd dont forget the 9th of Feb court date. A tesco style one off divi could shift the price. Coming round to the arguement that paying the debt off is far more important, but to keep the share price stable maybe.
I always thought that the share price increase was a combination of pensiin, debt reduction and increased sales. Yes, covid has contributed to a steeper climb, but we have seen quarter.after.quarter of growth. Reduction in debt through the sale of brands , remember hartleys and sunpat ,and the cost cutting. Lock down has helped, and will for another 5 months plus. The debt pay down will and is increasing profit. Im in as the company turn around has been in the making for a while did the market expect a dividend ? Or was it profit taking ? Will i ever sell up completly ? Sold my MAB and put them in here. Think we are due another bounce into Feb, maybe next week, when i say bounce, back over £1 again. Would be nice if other companies cone sniffing around again as well. Mccormick must be watching the developments.
