Sangi, Bantham,
It all comes down to timescales. Most investors in todays market see a longterm hold as a week or two, couple of months max. Many are left disappointed if the price doesn’t react instantly.
All of my biggest wins have come from observing a stock over a period on time, lots of research and buying at (what I hope is) the lows and waiting patiently. Then of course exiting at (hopefully) the top. I managed this at i3e from 4p to 30p but it took 20 months to come to fruition.
To be honest this board isn’t offering anything useful to me, or anyone else, as an investor aside from mild amusement. At the end of the day, AGL will either keep getting contract wins and earn more money in ever increasing amounts, or it won’t and it’ll stagnate and eventually fizzle out (which would be a great shame for cancer research and long term holders)
I bought in at 11p in November with the hope that the former would happen and as yet I’ve been very happy with the progress being made. Positive study results, a contract win, product launches, doubled share price, Berenberg broker target of 120p and the company very much on the front foot targeting more commercial opportunities. So long may it continue!
