I think there’s going to be plenty of “rain” at AGL Sangi
I look forward to whatever price point we have to rise to before you do a “GROW” and move on to the next stock to feed on and apply your negative spin to. Quite like a virus don’t you think?
No anger here Sangi and I’m fine with others having an opinion that differs from my own. I’ve done my DD and happy with my investment.
I was just curious as to why you hit a share with a barrage of posts and then disappear onto the next (in AGL’s case conveniently having risen 140%)
It raises alarm bells to anyone that has half a brain and can smell BS. Whatever your motive (insidious or not) something doesn’t add up.
“I think it could be a great growth stock to own.”
Tipped by Motley Fool today as one of the:
“ 2 penny stocks I’d love to buy for my Stocks & Shares ISA today!
Investing in penny stocks can be a wild ride at times. But I think the stunning long-term growth potential of these UK shares makes them top buys in 2024.”

Sangi,
I was intrigued by your posts on AGL as I can’t remember seeing you on here for quite some time. And it boggles my mind that a smart guy would waste so much time on a company he’s not invested in. So I thought I’d go back through your posting history. Seems there’s a pattern emerging.
You started recently posting on AGL when they’d just hit 29p a couple of weeks ago after a run of positive news and you seemingly have taken an interest off the back of that rise.
Since then you’ve obviously done some research into the company and have prolifically posted SOLELY about AGL since. Each post has been negative and has spun a gloomy tone through any positive news. Why is that?
Prior to AGL it was GROW, who at 214p released an update that you posted/spun as a negative, when it went to 234p and you said this is only going one way DOWN… you negatively posted about them equally prolifically until they reached 265p when you obviously abandoned whatever agenda/plan you had to drive down the price.
Sadly this, and posting everyday about AGL despite not being invested, stinks of a rather disingenuous agenda. Your actions ring alarm bells and You are to be trusted in my opinion.
Well, the sell off yesterday was IMO primarily down to fears of an imminent placing off the back of recent good news. Many posts on here yesterday punting that narrative.
So the big takeaway from last night for me is that with their new cost streamlined commercial focus they may get to being a very profitable business in 2024 subject to the right contracts.
But at the very least there won’t be any placings for some time (until the end of 2024 worst case IMO)
And that makes the investment case for myself and many who sold yesterday much more secure and desirable.
IG allow shorts
Well Bantham. I’m not quite sure of you’re point but here’s the situation in my opinion:
- AGL are funded until Q2 2025 as per trading update RNS (without any new contract wins)
- So if no revenue generating contracts come to fruition before say late 2024 to Q1 2025 they will need to raise cash.
- However if they do win new contracts and find themselves cash positive/profitable, they won’t need to raise.
- As those new cash positive contract wins aren’t yet confirmed and are as per slide 17 “Other contract discussions in progress” . Then at this stage they can only project that they’ll not need any future raises as these contracts are as yet not signed off.
- Hence Newlands statement
It goes back to my posts yesterday saying Newland is Damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. (I purposely posted that yesterday as a disclaimer as I knew this type of semantic criticism would occur from you et al)
If he’d said ABSOLUTELY NO PLACING EVER, you’d have said “well how can he be sure as those contracts are still in discussion”.
Currently the narrative isn’t meeting with negative expectations and that’s the real issue here.
Oh Bantham,
I was merely relaying what my pal stated from last night. These are his words. (Should have put quotation marks in soz)
I think you’re splitting hairs here. He stated the aim is to be cash positive due to new contract wins before a raise is required.
So what I should have written (as many people on here have claimed they’re gearing up for a raise now off the back of recent news) is NO PLACING NEEDED AT THIS STAGE… AS THE AIM IS TO BE CASH POSITIVE BEFORE FUNDS RUN LOW ENOUGH TO REQUIRE ONE.
More reasonable ?
Hi Oppenheimer,
As yet it’s hard to confirm the veracity of the 156p broker note from “Logic”
Might be best to stick with the confirmed Berenberg 120p from November. They should be issuing a new updated one since the study results and contract win IMO .
I’m yet to see the recorded presentation, but a good friend of mine and a big biotech investor was there in Mayfair last night and relayed that the big reassurances he took away were that there wouldn’t be a placing anytime soon as their “aim is to be cash positive way before that’s needed”. Good sign.
He also stated that they key takeaway was they are singularly focussed on marketing and commercialisation of their product offering. Good head of steam built up and very much on the front foot.
I’ll upload the link to the presentation as and when it goes live
And if he’d written just “Breakthrough” then you’d have probably pulled him up on it as more unsubstantiated hype/bluster. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t Bantham. Deary me.
Hi NikNak,
Well, as I’ve said several times on here, I’ve been observing AGL for a while but only felt comfortable buying in around late November because of ANGLE’s efforts to make the product service offering more commercially accessible/viable. That’s what has held it back from getting significant deals over the line since FDA approval.
For me I’d like to see:
- Results of the Ovarian and Prostate Studies
- Other outstanding third party molecular results
- Existing deals/contracts being converted into repeat business but in a more expansive profitable way - For example: The recent Eisai pilot study being a success and converted into a bigger contract across the broader Eisai research platform.
- More contract wins. Ideally with company’s even larger than the $14bn MCAP Eisai.
- More TR1’s from institutional investors
Not essential but would be nice:
- Director buys when out of closed periods.
Overall I’m greatly encouraged by the last few months activities and, now the tech is better placed for market, AGL seem to be on the front foot with regard to commercialisation and bringing in significant revenue.
A mention here for ANGLE with regards to ovarian cancer research/diagnosis:
"ANGLE Plc’s Parsortix platform, presents an innovative approach to detection, providing analysis of circulating tumour cells. This platform has demonstrated clinical validity and has previously been approved for Metastatic Breast Cancer (‘Transforming cancer care with the first FDA cleared medical device for the capture and harvest of circulating tumor cells’, 2022). This novel liquid biopsy platform holds the potential to enable earlier OC diagnosis, ultimately improving patient survival rates."

The AGL @proactive one2one forum is on from 6pm until 9pm and is a live event in Mayfair, London.
It will be recorded and go live soon after I believe.
Hi Bantham,
As yet no one has asked me to do so and sadly with what I’ve seen of this board it doesn’t seem to merit much beyond what I’ve already posted.
But I have shared in the past weeks my take on why I’m invested (the last 12 months worth of endeavours to make the product offering more commercially viable and ramp up in marketing activity ), also my opinions on past cash burn and why it’ll be lower in 2024 and my opinions re being funded to Q2 2025.
Even posting my message this morning alerting the group to AGL’s attendance at this months DDR summit in Boston was met with a “why is this relevant” comment. (Anything in the least bit positive, even an official date in the diary is met with derision)
Up until this evening I have been polite and understanding to all on this BB who have differed with my opinions on Angle. I think that, to quote my post earlier about Newland being damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t re tonight’s presentation, anything I put forward will be disregarded.
It’s a sad state of affairs when after 6 weeks of being civil and open minded a legitimate investor is so disappointed in the dross and overall closed minded approach from users of this board, that he sees no value in being a part of it. (But maybe that’s the aim of certain posters on here?)
That’s your most positive post for month FeverTree. Feels good huh?
i’ve always been as polite as possible when chatting with you fevertree, but if that’s how you want to be….
it seems utterly moronic that you will openly slate a company you’re invested in on a public forum. if you want to see some of your big losses returned then this tactic appears to make zero sense, especially to someone of your “supposed” previous career experience.
maybe that’s not the whole story though… effectively you’re either still invested in agl and a complete fool, or you have already sold and are bitterly ****ging off the company and can’t bear to see any sign of success. whatever it is we have to endure your miserable posts due to you making poor investment decisions in the past.
Quick question FeverTree. You seem bitterly unhappy with your investment. Why don't you just sell up?
That was yesterday Digger.
Interesting to see who is also attending the Boston DDR Summit (Post on Twitter):
"Nice to see #AGL will be rubbing shoulders with delegates from Astra Zeneca, Novartis, Pfizer et al at the Boston DDR Inhibitors Summit at the end of the month.
ANGLE certainly seem to be approaching 2024 with a marketing focussed spring in their step.
