Yes I agree with you and a few on here have said they know that a few sites are still open but the time is limited as they are running out of basic materials and can not get more so eventually these sites will close too. What a mess we are all in :-((

I agree with you but you know TW.

TW ( with positive cash ) might see buying more land while others hold off as an opportunity and may get it a lot cheaper ?? Land is Gold as they say and must be a future good investment for TW, not doing much in the banks, and this very bad time will pass please God.

That is a good point regards to many buyers purchasing "Off Plan" and have a date in mind to move and plans to do so in respect to selling their existing home !!!!!!!

Its a real shame that the Builders have been stung bad by this virus and hope the Gov will back them all up in the weeks and Months ahead.

Nige Hi,

With much regret I sold TW at 2.18 weeks ago and bought you know where, glad I did now.
As you know I hold GGP, Rock and now NCYT. That will do me for now with the current World situation, keeping back some cash too.

Until the House sector get's back together and due to the divi's being cancelled and the current virus situation and House Builders fall's in SP I will not be reinvesting with any for the time being.

I will keep my eye on where TW are going and will keep in touch.

Just had a look at NCYT and up 20% may be a better investment than builders ATM and the other £7K many be a good place to put it !!!! Are they an AIM co ?? as I might have a dabble too:-)

That is beyond belief and they should never ever be allowed to rent another property, excuse me for this but they must of been total undesirables to say the least, I could not post what I would call them. !

Bamps I forgot to say that we are all aware the TW has a large cash and land bank but that can not last forever!! wages, salaries, overheads, bills and accounts still have to be paid??????

Bamps Hi, Just a quick question.

Now that the Dividend's have been cancelled to most or all House builders and the future with them looking a bit bleak to say the least, in your honest opinion do you think that at this point in time they are even worth investing in. The reason I ask is that with the current situation the SP will not fluctuate much in the positive direction and may well fall further with the lack of interest and dividend back up. Having money tied up in theses circumstances is a far bigger risk than before. Personally I was looking at selling from another stock and reinvesting here before the EXDD but as you know that has been put well on hold for the foreseeable future, and the money left where it is.

IMO this virus thing has or will crippled the house builders and many other businesses and will take a very long time to clear if in fact it does this year. Many smaller companies will not be able to cope as you may agree and this might spread to larger firms / companies & especially to smaller businesses.

Thoughts appreciated.

I don't think you will find that paying Rent is Much cheaper ? and by far the opposite I would think, and at the end of the day they have nothing compared with owning your own home, so why would people dislike others for renting ?? It also depends on renting circumstance, say for people that are working in a location on a temporary basis and do not want to buy a home in that place.
