Yes move into a Stocks & Shares ISA ASAP its completely tax free and you can invest £20k each tax year. Do not put anymore cash into a normal trading account as that is taxable. If you have alrady put your £2k in you can always remove it into your new ISA account. Your broker will advise the easy steps to do this.

The reason I am asking about Brits being legal tender and valued around £2 each is that if for example you have say £2 mill saved in Brits and you are on your last legs you can in fact give them away to family, Sisters, Brothers, nephews, Nieces, aunts , Uncles etc and as far as I am aware you do not need to tell anyone where or who you have given them away to, gift or donation etc especially if you are storing them yourself in a secure location. Surely if you did that the IT would be gone if that were your total asset, less house etc.

Sorry IT inheritance tax not CGT. ( Brits )

This is a relevant and good thread to discuss as some of us would like to know exactly where to store your cash when we all become millionaires or near about's and ways to reduce CGT etc in buying gold ( Brits ) !! and that's not a joke.
