npv8 : net present value at 8% discount... npv8 fact #1... the fs is worked out on a sale price of $11,000/t lce recovered... ($8,000/t lce contained)... so in year 1 when someone pays $11,000/t for the lce... it has an npv8 of $11,000...

it will certainly ignite a few near production projects... and re-ignite the sector as a whole... 18months... sounds about right... (doesn’t that article warrant it’s own thread)...

the facts and mysteries of npv... it’s worth spending the time working out the actual npv to kdnc that is included in the sonora fs... taking the % overall gives a significant 30% undervalue... it’s not $45m npv8... more like $60m npv8... which means that kiran has a 50% discounted value when he talks about a robust production contract realising $30m onto kdnc’s current mcap... rather than zero as it is now... ;)

i have a price for that already ob... for a small quantity of clay... ;) yes i do... as my earlier post 14:07... but it’s year 6-19 in the fs that bcn have incorrectly totalled to $142m... i’m using averages of the correct figure at the moment as my math capability doesn’t stretch to npv8... be nice to have the actual figures for each year... if you’ve got them... ;)

give me those numbers for npv8 years 6 to 19... and then convince me the price won’t go up > than the discount applied... or at least inflation... the value of the cash in the bank might depreciate that quickly... sonora clay won’t... or if it’s easier... what would £1,000 of lce produced in 2039 be worth to us today npv8... using the fs costings...

no... i agree ob... but with the contract it looks like he’s secured at least the $30m he’s quoted...

he’s touching on the toll treatment aspects there isn’t he... because of the mexican mining royalty 7.5%... it’s in bcn’s interest to keep the resource value as low as possible at that stage... which doesn’t help us for realising the value if we sold it at/pre mined stage... that’s why bcn are splitting the mine & processing operations... 4.5.2 Mexican Mining Royalty... The Company has taken appropriate Transfer Pricing advice to comply with OECD tax guidelines on the pricing of the mined ore as it is sold to the Chemical Processing part of its business...
