I’m glad Russia now recognises Donetsk and Luhansk as independent from Ukraine, maybe these civilians can finally get the support they need from Russia.

Just to confirm, I have read the RNS. Although are Menzies basically confirming this is now sold at 608p? Is this now a done deal at this price?

Hammerson plc (the "Company") notes recent press speculation.

Hammerson's strategy remains to realign the portfolio to focus on prime urban estates through disposals of non-core assets, to strengthen the balance sheet, and to re-cycle capital into its core portfolio and its development pipeline.

The Company confirms that it is in discussions with entities related to Redical Holdings AG on terms for a possible sale of its Victoria Gate and Victoria Quarter shopping centres.

There can be no certainty that a transaction will take place, but the Company confirms the pricing under discussion is £120m, which would represent a class 2 transaction. The Company will provide a further announcement if appropriate.

Cyfartha Retail Park in #MerthyrTydfil has been closed for public safety.

There are reports of a roof caving in on one of the shops in the area.

South Wales Police said in a statement “We are currently in attendance at Cyfarthfa Retail Park, Merthyr Tydfil, dealing with damage caused by the weather conditions.

“The park is closed and will not reopen today, please avoid the area.”

In fairness, on one hand I’d be very happy with 560p on the other I’ll be quite sad to loose Menzies in my portfolio and the dividends.
Madness to think I was buying this at £1 a share back in 2020, I took £9,200 off the table on a sell at 250p and bought back in at 215p
I can’t really ask for more. I’ll also be thankful for Menzies.
