Mountainous, that is my understanding.
This may help. Go to 'Effect of Insolvency on enforcement' section on below webpage.

Or it means that Cineplex won't get the full balance of the award either way (because the loan is unsecured). This would mean they're better of settling out of court of a some money rather than potential of none Especially as Cineworld debt priorities mean that Cineplex would be back if the line when it comes to receiving payments.
...are better off presuming out if court settlement where they can guarantee at some money ?!
So, this means:
Unsecured = unrecoverable if Cineworld have no money?!
It is therefore in the best interest of Cineworld to survive and they
Yes I appreciate investment in a couple of screens compared to Cineworld debt pile makes no difference but hopefully continued investment in assets is evidence of good outlook. Or it just a case of them throwing good money after bad.

Final paragraph...
...Worth noting, in the past the company has broached the possibility of pursuing a US listing and a possible flotation of its Regal unit in the States.
Yes is appears not. Seems to have been a lot of pre-open trading though as prices were delayed for ages.
Something dramatic is going on as no prices quoted yet
If you sold out in August why even bother posting your enormous long winded reasoning as to why this is a terrible investment?
Just seems odd. When I sell out of something I may keep any eye on things but I certainly don't feel the need to tell investors, who are capable of doing their own research, why they're making a terrible mistake.
I find posts like yours extremely boring and purely there to provoke a response (well done you achieved that with me).
Clearly you're are on a crusade to save people from themselves. Suggest your time is better spent volunteering at or making donations to a local charity.
All the best. T
GiantS, looking at your posts on other shares all you seem to do is go around telling everyone how bad their investments are. Three observations I would make:
1. Surely you know that posting on forums like this as little to no affect on SP.
2. Shorting a stock is much higher risk than backing a company and you can get higher returns investing rather than betting against it.
3. Having a more positive outlook on life might have a significant benefit to mental health. I am also of the firm belief that 'what goes around, comes around'.
I wish you all the best.
You predicted WW3 did you? Pretty sure you argument was about the business case of Cineworld which, in a normal world, is very strong. Batman just took c.250million first weekend which is a lot in any market.
Unfortunately it's Russia that's f*cked the entire market. I'm afraid 77 that you are not the sage of Omaha.
$248.5 million, bloody impressive
Regular cinema goer, 2 x unlimited (me and the wife). Joined Jan 2020 which was unfortunate timing but we've still taken advantage of it regularly since the unlock. Invested at a similar time, definitely reason for investing.
Go at least monthly and regularly make the most of discounts on sweet, drinks and popcorn.
This year 'should' be a massive year for cinema. A steady procession of good films coming out. Let's hope the situation in Ukraine, which is much more important than money, has a positive resolution and we can press on.
I'm a heavily invested but prepared to see this one to the end.
Genuine and honest question, please can someone advise how if the bought total £ is more than the sold total £ the value of the SP goes down? I am sure it's something simple but a very black and white view would be the price would go up not down?
I appreciate this might be a bit simple question but genuinely curious to know how it works?
I think sp will be suppressed given the war which as others have stated is much more important than share prices and money.
There is no doubt that batman will do cine a big service with regards to increased liquidity. $100-125 million domestic box office first weekend.

77' please tell this isn't your genuine response. You stayed invested so you could tell everyone how terrible an investment cine is? Really??? Surely not, that literally makes no sense.
Google is saying a red day now, not sure why/how!?
Just did the same at my local cinema it was fully booked like everyone is reporting.
