It is trite law that where a petition debt is disputed in good faith and on substantial grounds, the ordinary practice of the Court is to dismiss or strike out the winding up petition. However, this principle is more easily applied in theory than in practice. As a result, the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands has observed recently that "It is remarkable how much case law has been generated in relation to a legal test which has essentially been settled for many years" (Re Sky Solar Holdings Ltd).

Thanks Fig, what was the date relating to your last post? Was it historic and therefore a precursor to the winding up of G3E or current? I.e. company to continue trading? Sorry for my ignorance if this is obvious to others...

Just looking at some of the incredulous posts on trust pilot. Interesting that in a number of replies to complaints this line was used
“With regards to your query about your complaint, we have been seeking guidance from the regulator with how to resolve certain cases.“
I haven’t visited these sites regularly but this seems to me that they’re questioning what qualifies as a genuine appeal.

This is the ongoing debate Roobler, the information there is from September and well known by the BB. Question is whether the decision is to liquidise a cash rich business and share the sale proceeds or is there something else afoot? No news is frustrating but we haven’t necessarily had bad news either.... Communication may be halted due to legal reasons. We won’t know until news hits the RNS...

Sorry Tommy, perhaps you’re used to dealing with children. On this BB you’ll find a good deal of intelligent and experienced investors. Telling them to sell up because I said so isn’t going to convince anyone. Do some homework. Learn about this stock and come back with some well researched material and you’ll get a dialogue. I don’t think you’re capable of it but pleased to see you prove me wrong.

What I don’t understand is that a claim can be made against affordability which results in a refund of Nyerere already paid...
Surely if it has been paid they could afford it. Yes they may have made sacrifices in order to pay it, but don’t we all?

I would think that LSE would do their due diligence. The share price on the bb has changed for the first time since suspension to a 0 balance. I have no experience here, so look for your response to correct me. This suggests to me that it is G3E in liquidation and not GD. I’m still hopeful that we will get a result based on sale of assets though. Does anyone have experience that could indicate a time frame for this sort of thing?
