Excellent post, suspect Jub Capital boys are here including Adam, desperately trying to push this down to make up their extraordinary losses when they were jubbed elsewhere. Someone posted a link for an article provided by Jub yesterday then when I pointed out Jub was referenced, they changed the link! As Jp says, nothing has changed in the whole scheme of things since Monday, except someone decided to blow out of proportion what was already known and the MMs took advantage, and helped their mates!

And the likelihood is they will buy that 70% so as to have 100% full control and will be in production next year with their JV partner who is already on board. Different kettle of fish entirely to here, they just keep finding more and more gold veins!

This attack on the sp has happened for a reason and I seriously wonder if Newmont are purchasing Greatland shares and there might be an attempt at a hostile takeover? it will take some time for it to happen, but it is making me wonder because some of the usual suspects that are hanging around yesterday and today are renowned for working for various outfits so that shares can be purloined from weak holders. Anyone thought that Newmont might attempt this? or at least it might reduce the amount they will pay out if they go for a straight buy out of Greatland? I'm beginning to think this is what is at play. I hope Shaun has his wits about him, and that he doesn't get too greedy, as Newmont are not fools!

Anyone know if we've been subjected to a shorting attack of some nature, as the sp action started strangely yesterday, and todays is beyond the pale in reality and the usual suspects are floating around who are well known to short. Just something positive from SD will help traverse the clapometer hopefully! Today has been painful, but what changed from last week, nothing in reality other than the newcrest/newmont deal being given the thumbs up by the Boards, and it's now over to the shareholders. As someone here said yesterday, in essence, it's a win win for us. Let's wait to hear from SD further.

I think whoever posted earlier that SD needs to come out and do an interview to explain and steady the market is right. I don't think he can just sit there and watch the sp being manipulated on the basis of something that is currently an unknown and not released to the market in any manner in a formal rns. Everything is conjecture at this point, and I think SD needs to make an appearance, may be Donald Leggett can get hold of him again and get a 10/15 min phone conversation through?

What are you talking about? firstly, I invested a few weeks back and at the moment, i feel this has lots of potential and I want to see what next year brings, I'm not a trader, I'm an investor, there is a difference, and secondly, I've been doing this for 20 years, so I'm not a novice with 'rose tinted spectacles' thanks.

Is this Kev the same guy complained about on that eurasian share that has supposedly just been kicked out of a telegram group again apparently? seems the same sort of character, who posts under another handle on there.

If it's such a negative as you suggest mercedesman, then why is he going for a cross listing? there must be a reason and a purpose for the cross listing. The sp is simply reacting to the fact that it will take time for the deal to be signed and fully disclosed, because it has to go out to Newmont shareholders for approval, and I assume that will also mean a prospectus will need to be created. As the old adage goes, 'rome wasn't built in a day'!!
