PTR is normal, the Judge wants to check that all paperwork has been filed, trial bundles will be ready and essentially, the case is ready for hearing on the week currently allocated to the case. If there are any anomolies, it will likely be withdrawn from the list for that week and put back for a trial at a later date when all paperwork has been completed to the court's satisfaction, and all witnesses notified that they must attend court etc. It's an administrative hearing.

As per my post yesterday, it's not just about the gold, we have copper, and the Australian authorities are keen to crank up battery metal production, and components of batteries include copper. Australia is looking to becoming more self sufficient again, with this new industrial revolution for greener energy and this is why COP28 is so important and what each Government can bring to the table to say it has achieved in reducing the carbon footprint. This is why I think with the aid of Twiggy, Greatland will keep a hold of Tel/Hav, but with Twiggy aiming to build his own processing plant, that will probably come to our aid as Telfer is slowly decommissioned, primarily due to its carbon footprint. So I agree with those who say no takeover of us from Newmont, I firmly believe Newmont will either hang on in or divest, and Palmer has said himself his intention is to divest non core assets. As with anything, the real gains are likely to be made at least a few years down the line from now, as I suspect Rio will show their hand once further exploration has taken place and Twiggy is helping us along. Don't just think about the gold though here! Two days and the vote will be done and a new chapter will begin! my views.

I think it's highly likely Newmont will offer us Tel and Hav. Twiggy is going to build a processing plant, end of 2024, telfer will gradually be de-commissioned, Twiggy will see us okay, until Rio finally show their hand a bit further down the line! imo, but might be worth the wait! dyor. connect 4! :)

Tom Palmer turned down the top job at Rio and went to Newmont.

Newmont and Rio are aligned on many aspects including ESG, listen to Stausholm of Rio stress the importance of ESG and on alignment in the industry in general in the you tube vid entitled "Jakob Stausholm: Rio Tinto and the navigation of uncertainty" of earlier this year.

Telfer doesn't align with this strategy hence why Palmer wants to divest no doubt, but Newmont will own Telfer 100% and we have no say on that.

Rio have aligned themselves with GGP, they came to us.

Rio have a top job vacant currently to be appointed in December, as Ivan Vella of the aluminium division is off to IGO as CEO.

Newmont and Rio have both said that consolidation in the industry is inevitable. The mining world has changed since covid.

Then, who is linked to IGO Ltd? none other than Twiggy Forrest of Wyloo. IGO are in the battery metals field, and Forrest has been working with IGO into looking at building a downstream nickel processing plant in Western Australia. Twiggy intends to lease 30 hectares of vacant land in the Kwinana Industrial precinct south of Perth possibly in late 2024.

Resources Minister Madeleine King is quoted as saying that she wants "Australia to go beyond the creation of precursor materails and assemble batteries domestically."

Of course, there are other critical metals involved in battery operations.

I wrote a long screed to explain my disdain but it was probably too long and disappeared.

The lot of you are bullies through and through, and 9 tick ups speaks volumes as to the moronic state of posters here.

To shorten what I feel, I am not a high flyer, but I have two honours degrees in law, and in psychology. I have worked in law and investment analysis. I like to debate, but not to be bullied. I've started threads about divestment and produced facts about Palmer wanting to divest non core assets and so on, and taken the flack, I started the thread about financing as I was genuinely interested in peoples views on the financing of the 70% if the company buy tel/hav. I look at things in the round and if I want to question something, I will.

But I am finally defeated in my will to contribute thanks to you lot of bullies. I recently discovered that I might in fact be autistic, even at this later stage in life, and one of the concepts relating to autism is 'camouflaging', and autistic people are very good at 'camouflaging' for fear of being called out, ridiculed, bullied, and marginalised by society, for what they would like to say, but daren't say. There is nothing wrong with autistic people, they are often high achievers, it's just they sometimes think differently or need time to think things through as their cognitive processing can be different to the 'norm'.

So next time you lot bully, ridicule, or try to shame someone, I would ask you to think twice about your behaviour and the impact it might have on the recipient.

Autistic people often shut themselves away, shying away from social interaction in their private lives, but forums are a great way for them to express themselves and feel a sense of belonging. Between you, and one of your mates iknownuffin from the eurasia board who has repeatedly made it clear it was his intention to drive me away from the forum, you have shamed me in to a sense of not belonging and this must be my fault, and that I must be a failure, even in this environment, which I thought would be more friendly and welcoming, and not so so hostile.

TomE, I'm invested with 2.4 mill shares so please STFU as you a preverbial pain in the back side, and Summit, you're as bad, no it's not gains from shares, it was a small inheritance from my beloved aunt, who died a year last June, because the care home who were supposed to be taking care of her, let her fry in her bedroom, as their heating broke, and the temp in the room was over 40C, she was 97, and had a pacemaker, and it just makes me realise, that there is no way I want to suffer the same fate and end up in a home. I saw it with my father as well, with the care assistants blowing over his food to cool it because they couldn't sit and wait to help feed him, so he starved himself to death. Sof if you're like me, on your own, with no family or kids to be there for you, just don't get old, and hopefully, don't get dementia. Life sucks.

I haven't got time to play today, need to go and sort out worktops and colours for a new kitchen in an hour or so, so have a good weekend all, the best is yet to come imo :)

MH01, let's just say that I personally had dealings with an ex chairman of RTZ, and I know the mentality, firstly, the old boy network is always at play, secondly, these guys are power and control hungry, and let me assure you, the person I knew would stop at nothing to get what he wanted, and the incentives weren't bad either, but I declined! Didn't go down too well though! :)
