This was end of March on Blue Star and their Galatica project, also based in Colorado, with helium mines. Hopefully parallels can be drawn with this for us shortly in that they are in Colorado, and they have helium, they are now in to their 6th well being tied in and are now moving to 24/7 operations so as to go commercial. If they are proving commercialisation, in the same county, surely we can?
"Blue Star Helium has wrapped up the first stage of a development campaign at its 50% owned Galactica helium project in Colorado, following the successful integration of six wells into the Pinon Canyon processing facility.
The project is now transitioning to continuous 24/7 operations.
Pinon Canyon previously running in daylight hours as part of a maintenance and optimisation program. As a result, it was producing gas intermittently.
The plant is now moving to round-the-clock production after the completion of automation, maintenance and system upgrades, and the installation and testing of wellsite equipment at the Jackson 4 and Jackson 2 wells.
According to Blue Star (ASX:BNL) , Pinon Canyon is now well positioned to generate sustained helium production at a time when global supply is tightening.
“We are now moving into a 24/7 production cycle with six wells tied in, precisely as global demand for reliable, domestically sourced helium supply has increased significantly,” noted Blue Star Helium managing director and CEO Trent Spry.
“The level of interest being shown from potential off-takers and investors underscores the strategic value of the Galactica project.”"
