watching the bbc news last night and all they seemed to talk about was testing.

Kept saying to my wife "Avacta's test will sort that" its applicable to so many of the issues to get the world back working and functioning normal(ishly)

so far Avacta have been ahead of schedule lets hope that the two partners will also be too.

The Affimer reagents have also now been studied further by Avacta and, importantly, this has shown that there are Affimer reagents that can work in pairs, both binding to the spike protein at the same time. This allows tests to be developed that detect both the intact virus particle and the detached spike proteins which become separated from the virus particle during the development of the COVID-19 disease, which may also be important in monitoring disease progression.

Cytiva and Avacta will now work to develop rapid test strips for the detached spike protein and for the intact virus particle, aiming to have prototype devices in a few weeks. Adeptrix will be working on a similar timescale to develop a prototype BAMS test. Both of these tests will indicate whether a person has the infection at that moment.

they'll also be lots of doom sayers trying to get in lower or make money on a short.

Hope they'll be a few more commercial deals coming our way in the meantime.

Pointless speculating really from the last RNS they've lined it up to be 14 days until there's a prototype. That's a prototype though not a fully tested authorised test ready for sale!

Could be some new partner's announced in the mean time and that's great as we know they could have the affirmer to work on immediately as it's ready

In theory you've got 2 weeks to be nervous. This is AIM, without news the price will drift down as people look for a quick profit elsewhere.

BUT news about new deals could drop at anytime and as everything else has been ahead of schedule then the firsts tests could be ready before two weeks

Great if you have a scroodge mcduck style vault full of money like you seem to have ;)

If I had any funds I'd be buying more though too :(

even on a small level every day, I play squash for example if you and your opponent to a test before going on court you'd be safe to continue.

Now we know the affirmer reagents are ready and shipped to the first two partners. Any new partner can have them immediately and development begin quickly!

We may have to wait 2 weeks for news of the progress these first two have made or we may get some new deals announced

This is why I don't think it's so important whose first to market. What's important is a highly accurate "best in class" test. Which it looks like from today's RNS avacta have the makings of!!!

One supplier can't supply the whole world they there will surely be many....
