In your opinion would I have been correct in my assumption that as this is a collaboration with LTSM Avacta would have had visibility of what they LTSM are seeing results wise? Hence giving them confidence to get more manufactures on board?

Sir Al did say in an interview (which I can't find now) that they would use the first batch from BBI for clinical validation which is not the norm.

As a comparison for timelines, LTSM validated an antibody lateral flow device in four and a half weeks. They've had ours four weeks so I'd hope for something on S&S next week

We know Klaus and the team will have tested the lateral flow device to death and we know Avacta are VERY happy with the results as per RNS commentary:

The Affimer reagents that we have generated are very specific to SARS-CoV-2 antigen and we are confident of meeting and exceeding the clinical performance requirements

We also know that we are in a "collaboration " with LTSM . To me that means we are fully aware of what results LTSM are seeing (or am I wrong on this and the validation is a blind process?).

In fact they are so pleased with what they are seeing that they have signed up two manufactures and are transferring the highly restricted confidential design to them. These partners haven't just met at the chippy and big Al asked if they fancy making a spit stick for him.

I personally am very very happy with progress. We have been informed every step of the way what is happening ( I accept sometimes timescales have been off but this is cutting edge science with a hugely compressed timeframe)

Avacta is on the verge though of a massive world changing test which also validates the Affimer platform which is only one arm of the business.

Who cares? It was mologic anyway at Heathrow...
