I kind of miss major_buyer now he's gone. The bb is certainly a lot quiter... I need to ask him why we're not at 150p yet (p.s that 160k buy was probably him). I can't accound for the little uptrend towards the end of last week, but I do feel this will inevitably touch 27p. As the weeks go on, the bored will sell up. What we really need is another dose of good news.
My first sentence should have read 'If the parties that coincidentally voted the same way vote in favor of the Seafox resolutions...'
If the parties that coincidentally voted the same way (apparently Seafox provided sufficient evidence to prove the parties weren't acting in concert, but I still don't buy it) then I don't think there's any chance of stopping the resolution going ahead. The question is what happens when the two new members join the board? With the GMS board going 'against shareholders wishes' and retaining two of the members of the board who were voted out, then the two new board members would be the minority (I think Seafox's original plan was to shrink the board so their nominees would form a larger proportion). The best case scenario is they actuall honor their word and help the company in the best interest of shareholders, failing that they allow Seafox to make another bid at their highest price paid (22p) and the worst case scenario is they try and sabotage GMS to devalue it. All IMO, DYOR etc.
For the most part, he's messaging himself. He's down a heck of a big % and trying to reassure himself that everything will be ok and wants other people to agree with him to make him feel a bit better. It reminds me of a quote from Unseen Academicals, the character 'who believed in truth via repetition'.
Aha, major buyer's true identity is out. I knew he was a Goldman Sachs employee.
How is that deramping? I'm basically saying I hope the price rockets so everyone can enjoy some profit. And I don't think the last one was a pump and dump, I know it was - I called it before the price even started falling back down. Why do you think the price shot to 80p then plummeted back to the 30s? (I'm saying this to your hand by the way, because your hand probably has a better understanding).
Great post as always Viv!
Hopefully it will trigger another pump and dump...
Christ, now you're just copying and pasting your old posts! Amazing. Gotta hit your 50 posts for the day I guess. Why not post one commenting on the weather?
In what universe is buying cheaper a losers game? Let's say hypothetically that your average is 60p, and mine is 30p and the share price goes to 90p, then you're up 50% and I'm up 200%. I know which I'd prefer.
'Waiting for lower is losers game.' I believe Warren Buffett said that. I wish I hadn't waited so long, I could have been down 40+% like you. Oh well.
'Well you heard it here first....' You obviously haven't read mine or Nicetomichu's posts over the last week then... In the event of no news this could return to pre-spike levels (around the 20p area).
Don't buy into a share just because it's exciting. That's a very risky strategy. People (particularly mb) still refuse to accept that it was a pump and dump - in other words the price was inflated far beyond what that rns warranted so somebody could make a big profit (and leave everyone else high and dry). Look at the chart over the last two years and you'll see a few of these spikes - none of them hold meaningfully and rise further. This drop is nothing unexpected, its just the price settling back down to where it realistically should be (the placing price is a good guess though it has gone below on the last few placings). Just sit back and wait for more news, and don't be afraid to take profit.
I assume major did not buy into this because of genuine research... they saw it on the top risers list and got overexcited and bought around the top of the spike.
Ive taken a small position low 30s, as this could spike again...
Other news would be regarding the ongoing dispute with Secura Bio. A peaceful resolution there would hopefully repair the sp damage done earlier this year. That's the main one I'm interested in, though I don't know how long these legal affairs take.
Too true...
Well its hopeless me offering any relevant factual information as I'm a convicted deramper so I'll just agree with you then I'll at least make some friends.
I've had a bit of fun poking you with a stick (metaphorical - thats means not a real stick) but I'm bored now... I'll leave you to your incessant babbling.
No-no, the phrase 'don't try to catch a falling knife' has nothing to do with selling. It refers to not buying into a rapidly falling share in a desperate attempt to average down. And yes, there is no actual knife, it's a phrase or saying, like 'people in glass houses shouldn't throw bricks'. Do they not have sayings in your country?
