In what universe is buying cheaper a losers game? Let's say hypothetically that your average is 60p, and mine is 30p and the share price goes to 90p, then you're up 50% and I'm up 200%. I know which I'd prefer.

'Waiting for lower is losers game.' I believe Warren Buffett said that. I wish I hadn't waited so long, I could have been down 40+% like you. Oh well.

'Well you heard it here first....' You obviously haven't read mine or Nicetomichu's posts over the last week then... In the event of no news this could return to pre-spike levels (around the 20p area).

Don't buy into a share just because it's exciting. That's a very risky strategy. People (particularly mb) still refuse to accept that it was a pump and dump - in other words the price was inflated far beyond what that rns warranted so somebody could make a big profit (and leave everyone else high and dry). Look at the chart over the last two years and you'll see a few of these spikes - none of them hold meaningfully and rise further. This drop is nothing unexpected, its just the price settling back down to where it realistically should be (the placing price is a good guess though it has gone below on the last few placings). Just sit back and wait for more news, and don't be afraid to take profit.

I assume major did not buy into this because of genuine research... they saw it on the top risers list and got overexcited and bought around the top of the spike.

Other news would be regarding the ongoing dispute with Secura Bio. A peaceful resolution there would hopefully repair the sp damage done earlier this year. That's the main one I'm interested in, though I don't know how long these legal affairs take.

No-no, the phrase 'don't try to catch a falling knife' has nothing to do with selling. It refers to not buying into a rapidly falling share in a desperate attempt to average down. And yes, there is no actual knife, it's a phrase or saying, like 'people in glass houses shouldn't throw bricks'. Do they not have sayings in your country?

You're right Rosie. We could have more great news next week, or nothing for months. I'm happy to watch this every day (along with many other companies).

Also major, I have to disagree when you say that the people waiting for a low price are being greedy and taking a risk. Uninvested capital is at no risk at all. Many companies each week have their sp shoot up but I'm not losing anything by not being invested in them all. If this share never hits my entry price I'll just look elsewhere. The risk is entirely with the shareholder.

I agree with the sub 20p nicetomichu, on the basis that if the company is no longer for sale then more cash raising/dilution will need to occur. They've got cash to last until the middle of next year but the tests from Dr Reddys and the unnamed pharma could possibly take years before a license deal is even drawn up (if theres one thing ive learned from this its that medical trials take an awful long time!).

Resorting to slander now? At no point have I told anyone to sell, or take any specific action at all, only recommended caution and patience.

If you are going to average down, I'd reccomend waiting for the price to settle. 'Never try to catch a falling knife', as they say... There's a good chance that in the absence of further news this could return to the pre-rns levels (or maybe settle slightly higher). Also I'd say don't average down if it means you're overexposing yourself; this is a pretty risky share. All imo, dyor etc.

The shorters will make a lot of money over in the US, because it's so easy to predict. The sudden rises happen without warning but the sudden drops happen each time afterwards.

The Secura Bio conflict does complicate things a great deal. How can a potential buyer value a company if it may or may not potentially lose one of its most important assets? Plus any ongoing trials with MTX110 could essentially be a huge waste of time and money if Midatech can't nail down that license. I hope they can get that sorted before long.

Nicetomichu, as the other long term sufferer here, I want to buy you a drink! It's been a rough ride over the last year but I've finally escaped (with a profit, not just a minimal loss!). Might buy back in if this sinks back into the 20's though...

They mentioned reporting the voting pattern to the relevant authorities. Does anyone know who this might be? Is there a rule or law against parties acting in concert in such a way?
