George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
Does anyone know the number and size of vessels not currently in use, and could they announce a new contract at any time or is there usually a particular time of year for that?
Gah one last sell there to virtually undo the whole days progress. Lets hope for some after hours buys.
Wonder why they are holding the ask down. Sodding market makers haha
I expected this to move up a bit more than this... it's going to be arbitrage city when Nasdaq opens...
I see. Thanks for explaining.
Let's hope they maintain their level (or better so increase) so we rise to them rather than they fall to our price. Good luck all, potentially exciting week ahead!
I don't fully understand day rates. Can they be changed by GMS at any time depending on factors? I originally thought a set amount was agreed on for the entire charter contract and that was that until the contract ended.
Does that mean we'll see the SP drop to 10p when this occurs? Someone will need to explain this one to me, I've not encountered an additional listing before.
I've noticed with many stocks, it really doesn't take much to drop the SP; even a quite small sell in the grand scheme of things (£100-500) can have signifcant negative impact, even if the buys beforehand were ten times as much. Any seasoned investors know if this is normal, and if so why? It's frustrating... haha
It seems someone only needs to sell £100 worth to make the price crash straight back down again. No wonder this stock hasnt moved very far. I just hope theres some growth across the week.
I'm not sure about CF. They've gone into administration but their portfolios seemingly been 'moved' to other companies, so wether they'll sell holdings still, I don't know.
I think a lot sell/dont buy going into the weekend. Might see more volume on monday.
I was wondering the same thing. His insight/opinion is welcome.
One of those sells was my buy, at 5.8 per share, so I imagine the rest were buys as well. It's hard to be certain though.
But if you bought the ADRs, you would have 200% less than ordinary shares, so surely the % movement between the two stocks would effectively produce the same result (assuming they sync up properly). I'm hoping what we will see over the next few weeks is the shorters dropping out because there is little chance of the stock delisting, which I imagine many of them were banking on.
Hopefully that will have the added bonus of encouraging those who were worried about delisting to start buying.
There is a list. Just google gms major shareholders, im sure its on their site.
Im hoping their defeat will stop them doing any further shenanigans.
The market makers really dont want to put up the sp do they? Huge amount of shares bought and well probably end the day back where we started.
I hope this isn't a stupid question but what would be the point in expanding the fleet when the existing vessels are not all utilised? Surely that is just adding more dead weight.
