It looks as if RKB has been temporarily suspended so he may not be posting until Monday...
Maybe LtdAxis was referring to the plane back from Melbourne....:-)
Settlement figure already provided for in the accounts.
I agree - I think it would take longer to draft this appeal than the previous ones as you are having to cover a few more bases. You might have to detail why lower courts got the decision wrong, what precedents they ignored etc and, if new evidence has come to light, present that. So I wouldn’t see it as just a copy and paste job from the previous appeals. I’m sure when it is filed we’ll be informed..
My comment was meant in jest so please don't take it as anything more than that...I'm the last person who would discourage you from posting. Sometimes the best thing a person can add to a BB is balance! All the best...
Amused me in the update: “-- Are digital natives - they spend 15.4 hours a week on smartphones -- Spend 7.6 hours a day socialising with family and friends” I liked the idea that Gen Z and millennials spend 3 times as long socialising with family and friends as on their smartphones (7.6 hours a day!!!). I suspect it just means they live with their parents! So socialising with family and friends might actually include time listening to music by themselves in their rooms doing course work or chilling...
Quietly? :-)
Ok, sorted now! I had to buy 5p worth less than they showed I had available to trade. Weird - never had that before!
Trying to buy small top up online and Interactive Investor “can’t create order” but can quote for sell. Anyone else having this problem with II or other broker trying to buy?
And don’t let it happen again or it’s the LSE naughty step for you! ;-)
“And the fortune cookie case , IMHO, showed that we are willing to take an 80% reduction on what was initially sought, just to get hold of any sort of return which doesn't bode well for future negotiations on other assets, all of which will be noted by serious investors“ LtdAxis - I’ve explained this before on this forum. It wasn’t an 80% haircut!!! The original claim was quoted as “between £700k and £5M”. This was because they couldn’t know how much JC had sold Fortune Cookie for until they had disclosure during the legal proceedings. So it’s unlikely that CLP were entitled to the top end of this band as that would represent the maximum JC could have squeezed out of WPP Plc. Once the amount had been disclosed then the negotiations could start. We don’t know what the value was and hence any discount (if any). It was always in JC’s interest to settle and not to have an ongoing court case with his high profile public commitments so I would be surprised if FG “caved in” on such a slam dunk case...
Spooky isn't it, we were just talking about you!
I like this stock also for its exposure to the "battery metals" class of stock. I can't see the demand for efficient rechargeable batteries for cars etc tapering off anytime soon. Also like the minerals angle in Botswana, good stable mineral rich country.
Brandshield is a very interesting proposition. Not a space I know very much about but you can check out its competitors at https://www.owler.com/company/brandshield#competitors - requires registration but is free.
Worth just checking across to the PRIM board to check out RKBeekeeper’s research into Weshop. PRIM are also an investor in Weshop like TSI...
Very interesting, Raymond - thanks for sharing your research.
It's also interesting to note some of the board members past and present https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/08223448/officers
Baroness Michelle Mone of Ultimo Bra fame (now sold out of that)
Douglas Barrowman (resigned in 2017) - fiance of Michelle Mone.
So the company has attracted some serious attention...

No, 1st Feb 60 days from RNS so may be before that...
60 days from the RNS is 1st Feb but the announcement was on a Monday and the actually decision may have been a few days earlier and the lawyers took time to review the judgement.
Ah, that's assuming it was 332 CE. If it was 332 BCE then Alexander the Great's uncle (also called Alexander) made peace with Rome.
And I'm sure that in no way suggests Italian palms are being Greeced...
It's amazing what these share trades tell you isn't it! ;-)
Also some of the Mediapolis Spa engineer management team have direct experience of drainage projects - one of the stumbling blocks presented by the local opposition...
They they had already either received shares in a previous placing, had bought in the market or were a bondholder that had converted recently (bit left field that one but I'll throw it in there anyway!)
