Over leveraged traders having to eat their losses ? Shame !

Do we really need to get this obsessed about 7am and have such a reaction when there isnt one?
—————
Influx of traders that happens on many stocks and won’t subside here for at least 18m imo.
The folk who will barely read the content of the RNS itself but just look to buy/sell quicker than everybody else and tell their story later in the day.
Of course, others get up early and look in anticipation to what will hopefully be a good read - arguably more obsessed but don’t post about it daily.

@FC, if you don’t immediately need the money, then imo regardless of you buy in price I suggest now is not the time to sell. If inclined then perhaps for an early-mid Feb transaction.
Currently, if as is probable there is a Scally assay delay then any really negative news would have surfaced through a sell down of +150mm shares, not happened.
The next Havieron updates are at month end, again it is probable that they will be incremental and consistent to all of the in the ground works kicking off.
Any serious holder from November 2020 should sit on hands for at least a few more weeks, if not a few more years.
GLA - TFG
Agree totally, there’s no volume in this dip so no concern, especially if folk are struggling to buy at the stated offer - isn’t really a supply-demand situation if this bb represents the real sentiment of the share at this exact moment. A false drop in the big scheme imho.
GLA - TFG
Hmm...don’t beat yourself up
1) what did you do with the 10k - what’s it worth now
2) if you had held, why would it be time to sell at 12p or suddenly has it become compelling to hold for a long time
GLA - TFG
I actually think these are just weirdos / people with an axe to grind rather than professional derampers.

Made me laugh potter.
amateurish or opportunistic deramping rather than professional deramping - both exist - are kids off school ?
GLA LTHs - TFG
No worries StrummerJones, I generally flit between the two depending on the context.

I thought Gervaise was still at the helm until March. It must have been passed by him at least. Its a piffling small amount in the scale of things and was already in the pipeline.

Apologies if I was talking cross purposes. I was ignoring today’s RNS as virtually inconsequential.
I meant it to be further down the line perhaps second half of 2021 - I personally don’t think a significant placement not occurring has been put to bed yet. Of course, only time will tell and a lot to look forward to in the mean time.

TFG - Where is the benefit to GGP to bring in IIs at "mates rates"?
———
@DGR - not something GH would do imo, but something smaller companies tend to do. Bang an RNS comes out and PI’s can do nothing about it. SD commented he had met some SH’s and wanted to meet more etc. Of course that does not mean a placing will happen, but to be seen from Feb in his I interviews the tone he takes in the future. Just a possibility I hope does not occur.
GLA - TFG
GH promised not raise funds through share placement but what will the new CEO do?
———
There may be II’s to bring in at mates rates but hopefully it is limited and off the back of greats news that helps PI’s proposer in any case. Hope SD stays away from placements though.

Thanks Paddy
""With Newcrest Mining’s outstanding Havieron discovery in a construction phase and the project’s minority partner now boasting a multi-billion dollar market capitalisation"
-------
Cheeky of them - who's discovery !!!
But with the Juri-JV in place (loss of 75%) and Greatland Gold now having debt, (50 million) it might be less appetizing.
-----------
1) I do not think that is a loss of 75%, it's a way of unlocking more potential quickly or not diluting GGP in an actual loss making set of drills
2) they don't actully have the debt, none has been used yet or certainly not all of it. By the time, if ever, they utilise the full amount on Hav, I expect one or two more upgrades to the 4.2mm Au Oz Eq
Unlikely £1 would be enough but still requires a fair amount of good newsflow to know for sure.
GLA LTHs - TFG
- God they must be kicking themselves for not returning the following year when the drill rig that they deployed couldn't drill deep enough to penetrate the basement rocks.

Thanks Paddy for the info, as always.
Must be the majority of a new team and a new set of shareholders at NCM, so I guess they are keen as mustard to keep moving quickly rather that rue the past.
Fantastic story unfolding for those holding for the last decade and the next at both companies. It’s the combined investment now reaping the rewards which hopefully get bigger with SW and other prospects.
GLA LTHs - TFG
Was GGP not considered a rainbow back in the early/penny days then?
———-
Yes, however, I would find it hard to believe that PI’s investing at that time only held GGP and put all of their money into it solely. Back to the portfolio point and taking the risk as many fail or stagnate.
GLA TFG
@Stummerjones - yes agreed totally with your post about point in time assessment - apologies if that didn’t come across.
The other thing to note is taking portfolio view to investing rather than simply comparing one share with another. This is where I think the references to ‘bags’ and large percentage gains gets, rightly, I’m my opinion gets mentioned and celebrated. Takeaway the notions of greed, boasting and jealousy and one realises that making significant gains is very difficult for PI’s. As I’ve mentioned many times risk/reward.
GLA LTHs - TFG
Then the true question is can GGP double to say 73p and sustain better than (say) HZM can go from current 6.5p to 13p+ and sustain. If the former stick, if the latter then investigate
—————————-
During that investigation don’t forget to consider the downside and how quickly the sp/mcap can dive, whilst assessing the doubling upside.

Perhaps Jackie will get a visit from the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future tonight. Will wake up tomorrow and try to buy a sled full of GGP shares.
Merry Xmas to all, including paid derampers.

Traders morning. Let them have an enjoyable or miserable couple of pence.
Merry Xmas.
GLA LTHs - TFG
Always comes back to risk/reward and probability - a 10 bagger for GGP most likely has a lower probability than say Artemis. However, an investment in GGP is most likely less risky. A FTSE 100 staple is even less likely to 10-bag and arguably less risky in the downside, notwithstanding monumental events such as Covid and Brexit.
You should only commit when you’ve made your own assessment of risk/reward and probability otherwise, as as been said, dreamers or traders.
