surely NC would want hav at the best price possible? so earlier the bid ,better the deal..
——-
Agree Redleader. As long as there is a healthy premium to the prevailing sp/mcap then II and traders would be satisfied.
However, LTH might feel short changed and that is the key risk with an early disposal whether is it Newcrest or anyone else.

and look, and that’s without considering are they going to be other discoveries nearby that will be far more commercial and profitable by pigging back of the Telfer infrastructure par
———-
Fantastic Paddy, thanks.
In addition to Hav, if another discovery is within the same block or another one of GGP’s either Juri JV or Scally or Ruddall isn’t that many cakes and lots of icing.
Feet on ground, hands under bum but still serious anticipation of much more to come.

I like the project, it wasn't on the radar 12 months ago to be fair, I dont do early exploration stuff much. I was just trying to answer the original question that started this thread... fair value of the inferred resource to GGP is 12-20p imo,
———
SW - a lot of research and reading and poking around on this bb for the first time. Seems to me you are some type of spiv for a broker or a fund or a publication.
Not sure you have any desire to take a position or indeed hold a position. Not disputing your claims if being involved in the industry - just asking why the sudden focus on GGP ? Clearly you have spent a lot of time reading - not a casual ‘answering a question on a thread’.
So, to gain some credibility, what is the truth, regular PI or something entirely different - there needs to be a motivation, normally monetary, behind all of tonight’s posting ?????

regulatory burden would be a killer I believe.
———
Christoph, understand your point of view and what you have seen elsewhere.
However, the point is to be “well regulated” especially with proven business model and growth plan or de-risked resource etc. That is why UK is one of the respected financial centres with a balance on cost, efficiency, regulation and competitiveness.
In my opinion, AIM let’s the UK down because the regulators haven’t solved the small business / innovation / entrepreneurship balance.
With Hav, quicker on FTSE the better, working towards it with gusto in the next 12-15 months.
I’d forgoe a 0.25p or 0.5p overhead in sp, even via dilution if money was ring fenced to get into and comply with FTSE.

This is AIM after all. Before DYOR on any share, DYOR on AIM market.
I noted, SD was asked about FTSE350 - one I of the best questions as most of the others were routine, no disrespect to the submitters. However, SD operating in Aus but getting his funding from mainly UK PI’s and generally UK based II needs to get this shifted to F-350 asap. I follow his answer that focus is on operations and that will drive value and that will drive listing status - but his expertise is not operational progress, it is about maximising value and that is better served in main market and not AIM. As Hav keeps giving his focus should be on this imho.
This AIM share like many others has news limiting upside but no discernible downside, lletting the market (MM’s, hedge funds, boutiques and traders) generate volatility the most find hard to work out and find even harder to accept.
Thanks to Jet for commentary and Bamps for a cool rant.
Let Arnie declare a Buy and Classicboy admit he missed the recent bottom and life on the BB may be brighter.
Fenix - I do not think an apology warranted, based entirely on my first paragraph.
GLA Traders - LTH will take care of themselves - TFG
We’ve seen the prolonged accumulation over months and pis rinsed of their shares over and over and the SP being abused and not making progress despite positive company news and progress.

Depends on your timeframe and acceptance that you can’t always buy at the bottom. In my opinion, it is small trader led and they will have portfolios trying to keep the Profit ahead of the Loss across a number of shares. With dealing commissions anywhere from £0 to £12 I expect some P(I) traders to be printing 15-20-30 trades a week across multiple shares.
If you only hold this or very few shares, I suggest you pick a handful of similar shares (may be the most popular bb’s on this site) and track their closing price over the rest of 2021.
You will see similar behaviour/fluctuation/incredulity in the majority.
The worry here for me is a low value offer that works for a trader who happens in be ‘in’ at the time, II’s because they have plenty to choose from and % gain to crystallise is acceptable but not to the longer term minded true PI who will know that they have been short changed.
I’m hoping GGP does not succumb to this at least for 7-10 years.

Everyonesawinner, good luck on your decision. Perhaps rent for a few months. However, please don’t fall into the trap of posting about 2mm shares ad nauseam for the next 6 months.

The answer is simple
———
Perhaps not that simple:
A) 2 or more years closer than similar companies on Aim to get a revenue stream.
B) if so called investors jumped in late 20’s or 30’s and jumped off again with little/no gain or in loss, no sympathy.
Risks remain, but big, no massive rewards if GGP hang on to 30% or 25% of Hav for the next 5 years at least, aimho of course.

Im in at an average price of 29.50. Hoping for your kind insights.

Hi deffl, welcome.
When did you buy in and what are your thoughts on the recent sp volatility ?
Outlook depends on the timeframe you are thinking ? In my opinion:
3m range could be 23p-40p
12m outlook perhaps 33p-55p+
I’m sure others might have a view, certainly when you answer my questions.
GLA TFG
Hi TTB, I agree with your assessment. However, not all of those aspects were totally apparent at 1p, a lot were and a lot had promise. A diverse portfolio with relatively high risk is a starting point. As you infer, the opportunity to hold or add arises as the risk reduces.
I held SOLG, GRL, ORE and GGP in precious metals and now only GGP and a bit of GRL. The poor performance of those and other stocks meant I didn’t add to GGP until 2014 and then recently in 2021.
Judgement, luck and the company re-risking in relation to the factors you mentioned all play a part.
GLA investors - TFG
we still have GGP at heart and follow the company no matter the lows!
——-
Agree Randelbo. In the earlier days (of GGP) and there were other shares, it generally wasn’t a question of how much cash a PI invested it was about the potential for the share to have enough leads that it could skyrocket. Only a very few do. Combination of sound judgement and luck. There another shares out there today in a similar position where folk may be investing on the same basis, good luck.
Here, a sizeable drop has to be accompanied by sizeable volume, if there had been 2-3-4 days of -8% with +150mm shares sold, I would have seriously thought about taking the gain in the table. However, the drops were accompanied by circa 50-80mm volume so not a major worry.
I like the Forest-shake analogy and still think GGP situation is Bamptatic and have little time for the trolls or the more subtle entry-sneakers. Sorry was that seekers, no, sneakers is apt. Won’t be the last high volatility event here.

Sorry - might have restricted his trade !!!
I have now found the answer elsewhere............
https://www.investopedia.com/articles/02/121002.asp
———
I think the article makes poor use of the term ‘insider trading’. Directors and persons close to the company have to follow a number of rules and guidances before executing trades. GH’s trade(s) must have been suitably per-cleared and as the article notes a buy by a director is generally followed but the market.
Nothing untoward, however , I think you suggested that GH had access to information that perhaps might not have restricted his trade - I doubt that, all above board and positive in my opinion.

10-15%ers from 22.5p
———
I doubt any of the naysayers or traders got in at 22.5p. Still expecting it to go lower and got caught out.
Hopefully, SD can kick off with some opening comments that quash takeover talks and we just continue to execute on 2021 plans as laid out.

GLA Investors - TFG
Rumours flying around on twitter saying the price will go even lower this week ready for a takeover bid ?

@gareth please could you post a link or two on these rumours ?
Biggest risk to PI’s is a poor takeover - of course, I would not advocate it and there are many reasons why it should/would not happen any time soon.

I decided to top up and got some at 24.5p. Noticed my last purchase was 30/01/2014 so in market open terms I make that 7 years.
I never hit the low, just on the basis that I doubt my trade would have been filled by MMs otherwise.
