It's the Greatland AGM next week on Thursday, 13th.

I had an advice from Fidelity, and link to vote on the resolutions back on the 11th October, for my account with them. I haven't received anything from interactive investor yet, and there's nothing in the usual 'Voting Mailbox' on my account there.

I have sent them a secure message today, but also wondered if everyone has voted on other platforms, as I believe that the latest date to do this is this Friday, 7th. Thanks!

I accept that nap, it's the usual arbitrage effect with cross-listing, but the difference yesterday/today is the largest I've seen so far, and couldn't quite understand the action yesterday. Just the usual manipulation I guess.

An interesting few days so far...

The GGP sp closed yesterday on AIM, with UT @ £3.4895, down 6.45%, but the offer price moved less than 3% the whole day, and ended @ £3.60.

On the ASX today we ended the day @ A$7.26 = £3.62, down 1.09%, but up 3.7% on the AIM close yesterday.

Large spread in GGP though, and interestingly, the price range in the GGP offer price is less than 3%.

Looking quickly at the free cash figures mentioned, and what's happened since, we're already over 1/3rd of the way through Q2 FY26, and the gold price in A$ has been higher than, every day, the highest gold price in Q1 FY26 (A$5,870/oz on the 30th September). In fact, the gold price, so far this quarter, has only dropped slightly below A$6,000 on just 3 days, peaking at A$6,765 (so far).

the winners?

anyone currently mining, or exploring for gold. the exploration angle is a bit more abstract. but the mining side is clear enough. most of the costs in mining are sunk. so every dollar added to the gold price goes straight to profit.

so big miners like newmont and barrick will be rolling in cash, swamped by an embarrassment of riches. unlikely that they’ll want to hold onto their piles of dollars for long, of course. instead, there’ll either be mergers and acquisitions aplenty, or massive payouts to shareholders, or both.

who will be the next target? kinross? agnico eagle? northern star? alamos? or will it be barrick and newmont themselves? – both companies have recently had a change in top management and some have speculated that these corporate changes might be clearing the decks for a potential merger.

further down the scale, mid-tier and junior gold companies will benefit too. producers, like caledonia mining (cmcl), greatland (ggp), anglo-asian (aaz), ariana (aau), thor explorations (thx) and pan african (paf) will be enjoying those bumper margins, supported by strong track records of production and supportive investors.

Hello! "multi-decade operation"! So, at least 20 years!

He also added, "As I mentioned, we are looking at uplift plans for the open pit. As we’ve locked in the schedules for the new equipment, we can start to put that into the open pit schedules, and that might bring forward some of that stage seven material, but that’s work in progress at this point in time."

I don't think he gave an exact date for the new equipment, but, what he did say was, "Now that we have confirmed delivery schedules for this equipment, we will look to include the productivity improvements into the open pit schedule moving forward."
