The GGP sp started 2020 (opening price 2nd January 2020) at 1.80p. It closed on Friday at 32p.

Therefore, Year To Date we're at +1678%, as near as damn it.

My point, apart from showing how incredibly well it's done, is to ask if anyone knows of a website where you can EASILY compare it with other UK shares, on the same YTD basis.

Surely we must be UP THERE with only 4 weeks to go for the full 2020 performance records?

Thanks DjfWatty for that post, which is probably needed from time to time to explain what's actually going on at the assay labs.

If they stopped drilling at Scallywag around 1st November (as indicated by Paddy, thanks!) then, if they are awaiting the full set of assays before release, which has made sense to me and many others for some time now, then there is no 'delay'. Assays have normally been around 4-6 weeks from deposit at the labs. HOWEVER, there are delays currently, due to demand.

As Alastair Clayton clearly stated last week:

"It's just us and every other company that's complaining about waiting for their assays, but look, that's part of life, and you just have to manage it. We've been feeding the labs since early October and, while the sausage machine might be busy, and a bit slow at the moment, they are coming out the other end."

Yup, markets like certainty and the new agreements and J/V provide much more than we had previously. I'd certainly expect more funds/institutions buying this month.

Any Government tax rules are never forever!

As has been discussed here several times before, there should not be any way that what you've SO FAR accumulated in any cash and/or stocks & shares Isa(s) are subject to capital gains tax, or any other tax.

HOWEVER, i've believed for some years now that, eventually, any UK Government may well put a limit on what you can HOLD in same. There are now many ISA millionaires (probably some here in their GGP holdings!).

IMHO, we'll eventually see a limit placed on ISA holdings. It's purely my view, but one, as I say, I've believed for some time.

All it would mean, IF it took place, would be that you'd maybe have to either sell some stocks and/or move funds out of a cash ISA to maintain that tax free status, or leave funds in those accounts, but possibly pay tax on any FUTURE profils above the threshold set.

As usual, only time will tell... TT

IMHO, there SHOULD be from NCM, re Havieron drilling, in interim exploration report, but, sorry, I just don't see Scallywag quite yet. This is based on delays, nothing more! TT

Totally agree mushroomkid! I don't know what the stipulations/regulations are, but one would hope that some reference is given. It's always been a slight fear for me that some will be disappointed in what's presented, if they don't understand the process. We know that GH appeared to be managing expectations in his last Proactive interview, where he stressed that it was only INITIAL. GLA

@ Paddy. Yes, and taken also with Newcrest's growth requirement, still lacking from the lease issues at Wafi-Golpu, it's importance continues to rise further as we go along.
