As I've said before, and as most people who've invested in mining exploration stocks know so well, even if we don't hit anything better in the next four Scallywag assays, the drill data is essentially a 'sighter' going forward, giving very valuable information as to where we need to drill next.

I just wish that some investors in Greatland Gold would actually appreciate what mining exploration is all about, rather than expecting that the next, 'once in a generation, or more' Havieron, is going to be repeated immediately elsewhere!

As indicated In the last Proactive video interview with Gervaise Heddle, he was at pains to stress the value and importance of the Copper grades at Havieron. In mentioning the ongoing consistently high Gold & Copper grades in three specific holes, he stated:

"All of those three holes that I just mentioned, they've all got approximately 0.5% Copper n them and that's very valuable and I'd remind people the value of that Copper in the system in addition to the Gold grades we're seeing."

I agree Sre85. The Telegraph journo appears to be using the recent drop only to make that point. Sure, we've had similar drops before, but they're rare overall.

At least with GGP, unlike some other "meme" companies, we know that the fundamentals are there, with the sp essentially underpinned by Havieron, which we all know, month in month out, is increasingly likely to be a once in a generation mother lode, maybe even more.

....William Mackenzie, a 33-year-old lawyer from London, owns Greatland Gold and Argo Blockchain and also uses online communities to keep up to date with what is going on at the firms. “There’s a lot of sharing of information. One guy posts satellite photos of Greatland’s mining sites on a Telegram chat, so you can see what they are up to,” Mr Mackenzie said.

He invested £65,000, mostly in these two stocks, in his Sipp and Isa in August. By mid-January it was worth about £255,000. He plans to use some of the money to put down a house deposit.

Gervaise Heddle in June 2018, after the initial Havieron drill results, "Geologists in their 40 year career could go for 40 years and not see results like this."

and,

David Lenigas (OK, I know, 'marmite', but..) describing Havieron as a "once in a generation resource, maybe two generations."

Just kidding, but, IMHO , they say it all about the initial Havieron assays and what we have as investors in GGP, despite the usual AIM sp manipulation we're seeing now, more than probably any time before, !MHO! TT

Although a LTH in GGP for over 3 years, unusually I've now being doing some trading due to the volatility in the sp, whilst keeping my major investment intact. When you see the ridiculous, likely manipulated, oversold movements south that we've seen over the past couple of weeks, why not, IMHO?! After nearly 2 years of just holding what I'd built up before then I couldn't resist at the likes of 24p last week and sold at 26p. It's called having faith, doing research, and beating the manipulators, again IMHO! TT

Dear Freddie2, your ilk where around making the exact same comments over 2 years ago, when the sp was around 1-2p.

I'm just waiting myself, unlike many, maybe even most others, that seem to be already assuming that the remaining four drill results will be the same, or similar to the first three!

As always, only time will tell, but, let's be quite clear, nobody can be sure of anything when it comes to mining exploration.

What balance is required? That's old news, this is current news. How far back should we go?

Drilling at Scallywag started around mid-August 2020 (RNS on the 19th August)
There were a TOTAL of 7 drill holes made on the tenement.
Drilling stopped around end October 2020.
The assays for the first 3 drill holes were reported on the 20th January 2021

I don't know if the remaining 4 drill assays will be reported together, but the above, everything else being equal, would seem to indicate that it could well be March before we receive all of the results.

....Meanwhile another interesting deal involves former Greatland Gold (GGP:AIM) chief executive Gervaise Heddle, who this week bought 500,000 shares in the AIM-listed gold explorer at 22.4p per share, in a transaction worth a total of £112,000.

Following the purchase, Heddle holds 74.5 million shares representing 1.9% of the company’s issued share capital....

In addition, if you read the likes of recent UBS broker reports on NCM, you'll see that they believe that the market doesn't yet appreciate the value of Havieron on the current and future sp.

Much of it is down to issues at other mines and/or prospects, but nothing to do with Havieron. As an example, in their portfolio of future growth prospects, they've been having big issues in obtaining a mining licence at Wafi Golpu in PNG. This type of issue can be common in other areas of the world, unlike Australia, and Havieron, which is one of, if not the safest jurisdictions in the world for mining projects.

Yes, I do. Gervaise Heddle stated, quite clearly, that we're moving into a different operation type, alongside exploring only.

Back in February 2018 he stated that, "..the job now is to push forward and maximise shareholder value...", that Greatland can take it "the whole way - exploration, development, feasibility to production...The key in the modern mining industry is in scale - large intervals of mineralisation..."

GH stated much more recently, almost exactly the same, in essentially confirming the change in style & operation.
