Can anyone help me here? Paddy maybe? There is a video interview with one of the old Havieron owners stating how well GH had done for Greatland by drilling deep, when others clearly hadn't, or could not fund it. I'm guessing it was last year. I've been trying to find it for some time...Thanks! TT

GO DEEP! It's been the principal phrase now, and which I've believed, very much from the early Havieron days, as well as recently, for some considerable time! The original Havieron owners stated quite clearly, years ago, that Gervaise Heddle had the balls to go deep, where others had clearly failed to do so!

In his coverage yesterday Magic says pretty much the same...

We may only be just scratching the 'surface', when it comes to depth, in Scallywag, as well as Havieron, and also in any other of our Paterson tenements.

Greatland Gold (LSE:GGP) – a gold bug’s favourite, this Australian gold miner has just started construction of a box cut and decline on its Havieron project in Western Australia, only a week after Newcrest Mining, the lead operator on the project, secured an A$146 million funding approval. The miner’s initial resource estimate released in December showed 3.4 mn ounces of gold and 160,000 tonnes of copper; additional drilling since then helped Greatland Gold identify new targets. The share price has come off its December peak but the company is making progress at pace and should deliver good results in the year ahead.

Exactly! We DO NOT have all our eggs in one basket, and that's for sure! Gervaise Heddle made sure of that, and has been a very canny operator over the past few years.

IMHO, one of the best CEO's of ANY company I've invested in over 45 years+. As always, regrettably, there are many that don't quite understand that whole background to GH & Greatland Gold, and the implications going forwards. BTW, those implications are very positive!

Let's just hope that the new CEO is of the same high standard going forward! TT

Anyone who's traveled/worked in the USA will probably know T. Rowe Price, who regularly advertise on the biggest media outlets. They have over $1 trillion in global investments. I've not seen them as GGP share owners before. TT

A few more new Fund/Institution investors have popped up in the past couple of days:

Vanguard Group (Ireland) Limited - 1,462,343 SHARES

I can't even buy 2500 shares on ii at the moment!

Jakob Stausholm will have to step on eggshells for some time with regards to the indigenous groups to avoid muddying their reputation any further.

Summary
- Newcrest Mining announced a maiden inferred resource at its 60% owned Havieron deposit last month, which lies next door to its currently operating Telfer Mine.

- The report has shown a resource of 3.4 million ounces of gold and 160,000 tonnes of copper, with an average grade that dwarfs that of Telfer's current reserve grade.

- Given the robust nature of Havieron, Newcrest has approved construction at the project, with the hope to be trucking high-grade Havieron ore to Telfer by 2024.

- While I think there are better miners out there, I think this development likely puts a floor under Newcrest at US$19.00 given that its weakest operation should be revamped by FY2024.

TBH, I'm surprised sometimes at the comments of some people about the mining industry. We're talking about multinational corporations here, not some tin pot organisation. The likes of Newcrest Mining have whole departments responsible for compliance with current and future legislation.

Particularly,

"Transparency and Materiality are guiding principles of the Code, and the Competent Person must
provide explanatory commentary on the material assumptions underlying the declaration of Exploration
Results, Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves.

In particular, the Competent Person must consider that the benchmark of Materiality is that which
includes all aspects relating to the Exploration Results, Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves that an
investor or their advisers would reasonably expect to see explicit comment on from the Competent
