Could well be Paddy and, yes, I'd expect them to continue and holdings be updated. I remember that the new holdings 'as at 30th November' were still updating well into mid/end December. TT

It's really not complicated and these sort of issue come up commercially daily. Basically, if the company changes owners in whole or in part, it is still the same company and this will not terminate any contracts. If, instead, the company sells its business, then the contracts are transferred as part of that sale. TT

The agreement states, "In the event the Licence Area is the subject of a completed bankable feasibility study and the Purchaser makes a decision to mine, Greatland Gold PLC must issue, within thirty days after the date that decision to mine is made by the Purchaser, an additional 145,530,000 fully paid ordinary shares in Greatland Gold PLC to the Vendor." The copper price has soared since March last year when it slipped below US$5000 per tonne to trade at about US$4700 per tonne for the first time since 2016.

However, the recovery since then has been outstanding with the red metal closing out last week at US$8146 per tonne, representing a gain of more than 70% in just over nine months.

Thanks, but we've seen it before several times in the past. SVE moving up, generally unaccountably, during a day, then GGP moves up quickly later.

OK, it could be nothing, but let's see. The percentage increase of this size is unusual without a corresponding GGP move.

Simple question! Does anyone know why SVE is up so much? Is it something other than GGP holding?

Sorry for banging on about this, but, I have no doubt, IMHO, and have said for years now, that 'open at depth' will prove to be a major factor going forward, in shareholder value terms, for the massive Havieron motherlode.

It's clearly been a very important factor, and increasingly so, for many years now, and was indeed, largely, the initial reason why Gervaise Heddle originally took the risk with our company, and drilled deeper, when others just didn't bother, or couldn't afford to do so, before him!

Sandeep Biswas has, yet again, stated, “Mineralisation remains open in multiple directions outside of Havieron’s initial Inferred Mineral Resource estimate and, with infrastructure in place at our nearby Telfer mine,”

If you still don't get it, then I can't say much more!

Newcrest Mining (ASX:NCM) UP 3.5% today.

Newcrest Mining (ASX, TSX, PNGX: NCM) has announced that the Newcrest Board has approved A$146 million (about $112m) for the construction of exploration decline and associated surface infrastructure at the Havieron gold-copper project in Western Australia, which it owns in joint venture with Greatland Gold (LON: GGP).

This funding approval follows receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals to start construction activities.

Greatland Gold (LON: GGP) published last month a maiden mineral resource. The report shows the asset potentially holds 4.2 million ounces of extractable gold, with initial inferred resource estimated at 3.4 million ounces of the precious metal. The bulk is located on the South East Crescent and adjacent Breccia and includes a portion of the Northern Breccia, Greatland said.

The early works program includes construction of a box cut, exploration decline and supporting surface infrastructure, including evaporation ponds, explosives magazine, maintenance workshops, fuel facilities,
and administration building.

After an extensive drilling campaign conducted this year, the company also noted that the asset’s mineralization remains open within four other target regions: South East Crescent and Breccia Zone, North West Crescent, Northern Breccia, and the Eastern Breccia.

Work is ongoing to finalise the Water Management Plan for the early works program and to progress further approvals, Newcrest said, and permits which will be required to commence development of any operating underground mine and associated infrastructure at the Havieron Project2.

“We continue our journey towards potentially achieving commercial production from the Havieron Project within three years,” Newcrest CEO Sandeep Biswas, said in a media statement.

“Mineralisation remains open in multiple directions outside of Havieron’s initial Inferred Mineral Resource estimate and, with infrastructure in place at our nearby Telfer mine,” Biswas said.

We are excited about this growth project. Together with the support of our stakeholders, we hope to deliver significant value from the Havieron Project and our other exploration prospects in the Paterson Province.”

Not just gold! IMHO, as I mentioned some weeks ago, we are heading into, or in already, a new 'commodity supercycle', and I've been building my exposure in my SIPP & ISA's to natural resources funds and specialist commodity funds for the past 2-3 months. Raw materials have pretty much been in a bear market for much of the last decade and generally supply has been restrained due to lack of investment in exploration, as mentioned by Bamps.

Higher demand as we come out of this pandemic will take some considerable time to be matched by the inelastic supply as you can't just turn the tap on & off. Add on the likely hedging against inflation and we could well see what I well remember from just over a decade ago. These natural resources funds have basically been crap to hold for years now, but that's started to change and will continue, IMHO.

The list gets longer and is increasing almost daily.

Apart from some increased holdings by previous investment companies, such as BlackRock & State Street, the following are new over the past week or so, from what I remember....Every little counts:

If you really believe that it should be used to discuss/promote/ramp other shares then please go elsewhere!

There is enough rubbish posted on here already, let alone from people that think that this is a promotional site/ramping site/advice site/ or any other site, maybe just because GGP is the share to be in right now!

They'll come when they come. It's really simple, IMHO!

Early January has been my best guess for some time now. It could be longer, but there is no need, IMHO, for anyone to get in a fuss about it. ALL WA assays have been delayed beyond the usual 4-6 weeks we'd have expected early/mid last year, so it means nothing if we don't see them this week, or even the next few weeks.

Indeed, due to the relatively limited MATD free float the volume doesn't need to be large to move the sp up significantly in percentage terms. I distinctly remember single-handedly moving the sp up 5.3% when I topped up by a £5K buy in early December. There's not so many shares that you can do that with.
