Indeed! If anyone has still missed the relevance of 'depth', and 'open at depth' in the Havieron project history, as well as the potential elsewhere in the region, they must live on another planet to me!

I thought that I was being more than clear in my post that, basically, it's down to the offer at any specific time. I'm sorry if you feel the way that you do, but it appears that you don't understand where i'm coming from on the whole issue. In which case, it's probably best we leave it at that, and you also enjoy the weekend.

That would surely depend on what's being offered. There is clearly an acceptable price for everything in investment terms. That price would, of course, need to be agreed, based on the situation at Havieron at the time that the offer is made. At that time there would be numerous analysts giving their all, and, as always, in such situations, it would be down to shareholders to decide what works for then, or not.

With great respect, that's completely untrue, and I just don't see how, or why,you've made such a post!

IMHO, it's inevitable, that's purely, 100% my view, and has nothing to do with what I want to happen, just to make it 100% absolutely clear!

I'm not so sure myself. IMHO, as I've said for some time now, Newcrest will undoubtedly make an offer to buy out 100% of Havieron. I just can't see any other scenario myself going forwards. They will want complete control.

That said, whether or not the offer is accepted, is another matter completely.

@ TomE Thank you for your words. However, IMHO, crypto does have at least some relevance to the gold market/mining market, and just one thread is really no big deal in the large picture on the forum, just as maybe discussing car buys. ;-)

Sadly, your (attempt at) belittling post show's your lack of understanding of other people's views, or indeed the Bitcoin situation, and, as is often the case, requires one to read the original post. Did I ever say that crypto wouldn't be around "far longer" than I will be? Did i ever say that alternative investments were wrong, in any way whatsoever?

A bubble, is a bubble, in investment terms, in any investment, not just Bitcoin and/or other crypto's. Bitcoin, IMHO, had been a bubble, ready to burst, for several months, and I pointed out the same. It did!

You know what though, I have absolutely no issue with maybe investing myself in crypto's in future, but I certainly wouldn't have done so over the past few months. I hope you didn't either!

Before you, as many others do, comment in the way that you have, maybe just step back and try to understand other people's views, without immediately coming to a viewpoint which is so one sided, without even thinking about how markets work.

Yup, I must admit to being just a little miffed at that. Normally you would at least expect some mention of, say, the 'partner(s)' on a project plaque of this type. Ho Hum!

Hopefully we MAY see some Friday pre-NCM report FOMO tomorrow. However, nothing is certain on AIM, but it has happened before, but not always, by any means. However, the pro this time is that we're now on a general northwards trend in the sp already.....Only time will tell!

Await the late GGP trades with interest...Tomorrow is another story!

Sure, maybe those that got in early and reacted at the right time, but I question if they were the 'young investors'? Sadly, though, for considerably more, they just accepted the retail hype (social meeedya), and bought in towards the top of the market, when the institutions had largely got out.

Unsurprisingly, despite attempts to move it up, we're seeing, as expected by many, a general drift south...

That said, I do feel for the many, especially young investors, with no experience at all, who thought (and/or were conned into investing in BTC), especially during the retail investor hype phase of the classic bubble, that it would go up forever, often via their social meeeedya!

A classic investment mistake, IMHO, but a good lesson too! There's no such thing as a free lunch in investing!

Yup, thanks Paddy. I can't speak, of course, for anyone else, but, IMHO, there is no doubt in my mind now, whatsoever, that we're going mining at Havieron.

That said, and as I've said before, Havieron will now look after itself....

I now want us to really get going in the many other tenements that we own, both J/V & 100% owned, because that is what we are, if it has missed some people, explorers!

Indeed, it's good to reflect on this from time to time.

As many will know, I've been stressing the issues at the Harmony Gold Mining & Newcrest Mining joint venture project, Wafi-Golpu in Papua New Guinea for well over a year now. Wafi-Golpu is one of Newcrest Mining's growth projects, just like Havieron.

Harmony's latest operational update today gives no better news on achieving the required Special Mining Lease that is required.

The company said in its latest update that an Environment Permit granted by the PNG Conservation and Environment Protection Authority in December would fall under National Court scrutiny. This was after the Governor of Morobe province in PNG and the Morobe Provincial Government lodged a judicial review of the permit. The Environment Permit is an important prerequisite for the all-important grant of a Special Mining Lease.

My point is, and has always been, that this continuing delay, which doesn't look like it's going to be resolved soon, does throw a bigger light on Havieron, since it's now even more necessary in Newcrest Minings's growth portfolio.

Havieron is vital for the growth plan at Newcrest, and, unlike Wafi-Golpu, Havieron is, of course, in one of the lowest risk and safest mining jurisdictions in the world.

IMHO SD is purely stepping up PR.

For some time now there has been, rightly, or wrongly, some criticism in general about a lack of communication to shareholders. Also, especially early on, the presentation was not great. Indeed, I said some weeks ago that he maybe needed some media training. A bit harsh, I admit, but I think we'd all agree that more recently his presentation has been considerably better.

I just think he's trying to address the criticism and give more communication.

That said, i'd be delighted if something major, and positive comes to light, but IMHO it's just a Q&A.

With respect there is unlikely to be anything new which would be seen as market sensitive material. That would have to come from a RNS, initially at least.
