The writing on the Havieron wall has been around for some considerable time now, and has been expected for years...

As GH stated in June, 2018, with HAD001,"Geologists in their 40 year career could go for 40 years and not see numbers like that!"

As GH stated in December 2018, ""We are very pleased to see significant visible mineralisation in all holes of the current drilling campaign. We believe that these observations, when combined with recently reported assay results and the results from new geophysical modelling, provide further evidence to support our view that Havieron has the potential to represent a very large mineralised system."

David Lenigas described Havieron as a "once in a generation resource, maybe two generations."

Sandeep Biswas in March 2021, "Now, with this Havieron discovery, every drill hole we put in there finds more gold"

As SD stated in February, "Make no mistake, this is a world class asset, and the opportunity to manage a world class asset is rare in anyone's career. So for me this is a brilliant opportunity, and coupled with the fact we are doing it alongside a joint venture partner in Newcrest, shareholders should have a lot of confidence that we have the right team in place both here at Greatland Gold and at Newcrest to develop this asset to a very high standard and bringing great value for shareholders."

As Hannam & Partners stated in their last note:

"Outside of the current resource shell, mineralisation still remains open in
multiple directions with four target regions identified: (1) Breccia Zone and
South East Crescent, (2) Northern Breccia, (3) North West Breccia and (4) the
Eastern Breccia. With a significant part of the mineralisation footprint still not
covered by the maiden resource, we still see significant potential for the
resource to grow upon completion of further planned drilling. The 2021 drill
campaign at Havieron will focus on both infill and step out drilling and thus the
resource is highly likely to grow significantly in our view."

As GH has said MANY times over the past few years, "...the markets don't get it"!

It would surely be a guess on anyone's part.

However, as I posted yesterday, although I really want us to get cracking at the other tenements, especially the 100% owned, including Scally of course, right now I'd rather it was at Havieron if it's maybe finding some great 'new' mineralisation, either infill, or step out, which could potentially be used in the PFS.

@ Charlesrixon GGP has massive potential, even without the price of gold rising any further at all, but it all helps.

IMHO, that depends on what you want to see...In a nutshell, as I see it, most broker views are largely pointless, but give some indication as to the value.

What I do know, is that Havieron is still building, beyond anything I'd have expected in the past, to be a massive mother lode, still open in all directions, and at depth. When that changes I'll maybe amend my view, for many months, nay years now, that it's, probably, at least a once in a generation find, but maybe two generational, or more.

Let's face it, the brokers know no more than anyone else here, or elsewhere. Only time will tell!

...Maybe a hint of what's happening now? IMHO, just a personal view, based on what's been happening over the past few months.

As always though, who knows?! Only time will tell, and, let's be quite honest here, this is the AIM market, so nothing much surprises me any more!

Exploration expenditure continued to rise...

In the March quarter 2021, Australia’s gold exploration expenditure was
$359 million, down $25 million (or 6.4%) from the December quarter 2020.

However, the Australian gold industry spent more on exploration programs
in the March quarter 2021 than the March quarter 2020. Exploration
expenditure was up by nearly 32% (or $87 million) year-on-year, driven by
high US dollar gold prices. Gold exploration expenditure accounts for 49%
of Australia’s total minerals exploration expenditure (at $735 million).

Western Australia remained the focus of gold exploration activity in
Australia, accounting for 69% (or $247 million) of total gold exploration
expenditure (Figure 10.7).

"Western Australia accounted for 67% (or 220 tonnes) of Australia’s gold mine output in 2020. Western Australia is also the centre of gold exploration activity in Australia, accounting for nearly 70% (or $908 million) of total gold exploration expenditure in 2020.

Western Australia’s Pilbara is one of Australia’s important mining regions. It has long been associated with iron ore and is home of Australia’s three largest iron ore producers (BHP, Rio Tinto and Fortescue Metals Group).

The discovery of conglomerate gold nuggets in the Pilbara region in 2017 has sparked a new gold rush in the area. Unlike traditional gold-bearing rocks that have led to the development of a number of mines in the Pilbara over the last 100 years, the latest discovery is in conglomerate sedimentary rock —material made up of rocks ranging in size from gravel to boulders (CSIRO).

The success of Newcrest Mining’s Telfer mine in the Great Sandy Desert within the East Pilbara has led to a rise in gold exploration activity in the region. In February 2020, De Grey Mining made a large scale, high value, near surface gold discovery at an area called Hemi —80km south of Port Hedland—in the Pilbara region. The Hemi discovery is an intrusion-hosted form of gold mineralisation, which has not been seen before in the Pilbara region. A major drilling program is underway with the aim of delivering an initial resource estimate in 2021.

The Paterson Province in the Pilbara region is now one of the world’s most sought-after exploration areas, with Rio Tinto’s recent discovery of the Winu copper and gold deposit in 2018,and Greatland Gold’s discovery of the Havieron gold-copper deposit in 2018. Greatland Gold has teamed up with Newcrest Mining in a farm-in joint venture to develop the Havieron project and explore further. The Havieron project is rapidly developing, with an underground decline opened on 13 May 2021."

Also, as Barry Fitzgerald said in a piece in January last year,

"More importantly from a Newcrest valuation perspective, Biswas said the Havieron drill results “signal the real potential for renewal of our asset portfolio in the Paterson region (read Telfer where a big and hungry processing plant could do with some high-grade feed).

Telfer actually enjoyed an all-in sustaining margin of $US257/oz in the December quarter which was novel in itself. That was from ore grading all of 0.81 g/t and 0.15% copper. Throw in some 5-10g/t gold 0.5% copper with that lot and Telfer would once again be humming."
