I don't see Newcrest Mining wanting to buy out Greatland Gold completely.

However, as I've believed for some considerable time now, they will want to buy out 100% of Havieron, certainly within the next couple of years.

Whether or not their offer would be acceptable to GGP shareholders is, of course, another matter, but, IMHO, an offer will certainly be made in that time frame.

I don't know about Shaun Day, but I've always wondered about the relationship between Fraser MacCorquodale and Callum Baxter. Callum is (on paper at least) a multi-millionaire, in whatever currency you wish to mention. What's more, good luck to him! He is a massive part of my GGP gains over the years.

Personally, I'd be very concerned indeed if Callum left Greatland Gold.

I can't remember, at least recently, a day with, essentially, no sp movement, whatsoever, since market opening, despite the buys now indicating as nearly seven times the sells. Oh, the joys of AIM investing! GLA and have a great weekend (unless of course we see something happen later today!). TT

Same this morning. ADVFN indicating sp down 2%, yet four times as many buys indicated as sells.

That said, it looks like it could be a higher volume day from the initial volumes so far.

Can anyone clarify what the approximate cutoff point in drilling results was for the figures used in the Initial Inferred Mineral Resource?

The great news is that, as we all know, and as SD clearly stated earlier this week, the Initial Inferred Mineral Resource is, "Very much initial"!

As I've said before, It's of note that SD stated in the podcast he did on the 27th July that the updated JORC resource on Havieron would be, "...very early in December". Yes, I can't know how he can be so precise, and, indeed, why he would wish to be. It did therefore cross my mind that it's already, essentially, prepared, and already a date has been set. In reality though, Who know's? DYOR

...While Newcrest's two largest assets had softer quarters, Telfer had a much better quarter on a year-over-year, with gold output up 10% to ~125,600 ounces. Copper output was also up materially to ~4,700 tonnes (Q4 2020: ~4,200 tonnes). This was helped by higher gold grades of 0.87 grams per tonne gold vs. 0.83 grams per tonne gold in the year-ago period. Looking ahead, Telfer should become a much more impressive asset with lower costs as production transitions to the higher-grade Havieron asset. A Pre-Feasibility Study for the asset is expected to be released before year-end...

...Over the long run, assuming copper prices stay above $8,500/tonne, Newcrest should see costs remain at industry-leading levels. This is because one of its highest-cost assets, Telfer, will see a transition to mining at Havieron which should be a much lower-cost asset. Newcrest holds an interest in Havieron with Greatland Gold, and Havieron's gold grades are more double the reserve grade of Telfer (~0.68 grams per tonne gold)...

Indeed, c. $1830 appears to be the current barrier for the last month, or so. We're currently at $1831, so it'll be interesting to see where we go from here.

A fair comment, and my guess is that they're still working on that type of information, which is, IMHO, somewhat early to be released, since it would be subject to various agreements between Newcrest Mining & Greatland Gold. I would imagine that we'd hear more along those lines when the PFS is released.

I was interested to see that the presentation before Shaun Day this morning included a 3-D video of an ore body that they were exploring. As Havieron continues to grow, and in various zones, it would be great if Newcrest and/or Greatland could come up with something similar. IMHO it would make it a lot easier for novices like myself to understand what's there.

Confirmation from a few days ago that there are 10,810,812 warrants at 2.5p still remaining. These expire on the 27th August.

Just for information, in the podcast SD did on the 27th July he stated that the updated JORC resource on Havieron would be, "Very early in December".

I'm intrigued now to see what format Shaun Day's presentation will take tomorrow morning (06:30 AM BST). I already mentioned earlier today that he has said, several times, that Newcrest Mining and Greatland Gold try to align their information releases on Havieron. With this latest information from FM, I'm hoping that SD won't simply use the Greatland Gold July Presentation. If he does, I sincerely hope that he will either have additional slides to add and/or expand on it more, taking into account FM's information today.

Firstly, I like the guy and his obvious knowledge over many years in the business. A very nice presentation.

IMHO, the following are a couple of important comments:

"Is there more Havieron's in the district?...The style of mineralisation at Havieron probably lends itself to clusters..."

In relation to DEPTH, a comment which, although not naming them, we all know that Gervaise Heddle and Callum Baxter, as I've said many times over the years, had the balls to drill deep at Havieron!

Also, "...But what is intriguing is that as we're getting deeper, we're actually seeing some significant grade"
