Sorry Bamps, but I don't understand your posts. We're expecting an updated/upgraded Havieron MRE, as we have been for some considerable time now. It's been delayed from the earlier time frame of "..very early December (2021)" as stated by Shaun Day earlier last year.

My point is that why should an updated/upgraded MRE be lumped together in the Newcrest Mining ANNUAL ore reserve report?

Such reports are usually posted individually, not in an annual report.

Indeed! Shaun Day stated earlier last year that MRE2 would be "..very early in December (2021)". That then changed/evolved over the months. I accept, as others have said, that Newcrest now appear to be increasing their 'say' in what's happening going forwards.

IMHO, 16p is easily within reach today!

In a nutshell, in the normal course of events, you'd expect them to be trumpeting the figures, not 'hiding' them in a group report.

Anyway, until it's released we won't know, one way or another. I'm just stating what my thoughts are at this stage.

Agree 100%, but, it has crossed my mind over the past few weeks, and not being one for conspiracy theories, I have wondered why and that maybe they have a reason(s) to do so. we were originally expecting MRE2 in December 2021, and then December - February. Sure, it could be nothing, but I just feel that Newcrest maybe have a reason to delay it until the group figures are released.

I'll be honest though...I'm somewhat disappointed that the Havieron MRE2 is very likely to be released as just a part of the ore reserves report for the whole group. I would have preferred a separate release, as they've done in the past for other group mills, when an upgrade. Ho Hum!

Hopefully now all positive, but I'm still being a bit cautious as games are bound to be played too!

I'm sure I'm not the only one that posts here that remembers having a mortgage rate of 16% in the past.

Clearly something is going on...

There's often a fine line between strong leadership and, what some perceive as autocratic.

Clearly I don't know what's happened at Newcrest, but, there's definitely been a general move internationally towards a more inclusive corporate leadership over the past decade, or so. However, some would say that maybe part of the 'complaining' that's caused that, is also partly down to a growing 'snowflake' culture.
