@@@Dodgemeister. - As always - you are right and I was wrong . Today has been a busy day. Had to get the wifes VW auto down to webuyanycar.com. Quite a few outgoings to settle . a very good opening sell price, so dashed off a sale of 0.0012% of the SIPP stash and thought it a good deal. A bit impetuous . But still trying to oversee 99.998%.
Promise not to sell any more tomorrow.
Overseeing the remaining holding in order for GH to raise my standard of living in the morning .

What does one need to get out of the starting gate ?? 1000 X £1,000 , or 100 X £10,000.
What does a class horse - a two year old - cost. ????
What is the monthly stabling cost. ????
Could we get Hollie Doyle or Frankie to ride it. ???

The riser chair has been delivered ,and I am comfortably esconced in it now, considering the mornings AGM news, a possible 50P ??????? ( note the question marks ) jump, some brilliant Scally cores , and an even bigger jump ????? , and a GH enthusiastic address But always another day.........................And drinking a glass of good Red , in memory of the worlds best golf commentator. Not to be forgotten.

@ @@@ selecta 6 joined LGC in 1983, and on the committee in 1989 for 5 years. Wonderful club,
great course, and actually got down to 9, on greens as good as Augusta . A heath and heather heaven.

@@@ Bellers. Another thing the clowns should read, learn and inwardly digest, is that the market is not hanging onto every breathed word by me, or more importantly,Magic, Jerry , Paddy , Hydro, Bamps...........et al. They do respond though to GH, NCM , a bit to broker reports.

And I do have a very thick skin , as well as knowing the pseudonyms of some very thick clowns.

What this board shows up is how kind and pleasant most people are, and then there are those who do not have an eff=n clue about the abuse and criticism they chuck about.
Any one who can read should have noted that my sale was from a SIPP, - actually clearing out all this tax years unclaimed income.
My son Sikulu is very kind to his father, but what he has not told you that some of the proceeds are destined for grandchild ISAs. I also some small topups to do in my own and wifes ISA.
This , to all those clowns who display an utter lack of anything financial , is called Tax Management
I also have to lay some aside for Speedy's magnum. This is called being nice to your friends and those who provide a huge amount of help on this board to all and sundry.
Those experts on this board have helped make you and me, an awful lot of money this year.
Thanks Sikulu ( who has also made a modest profit ) and his mate Gimme , who has made a lot more than a modest amount ( through me ).
You clowns, just recognise how fortunate you are.
My friends, your rewards will be arriving next year when we next meet.

@@@ Fred- Just getting a bit of new furniture as well. Including a deliciously comfortable riser chair , with arms wide enough to have the lap top on. It is getting very tiring having to get up and check the SP every two mins

Yes it was. I have topay the wages for my butler , chauffeur, all of the kitchen staff, the gamekeeper and estate staff. They are so demanding on pay rates these days.

@@@ Floater, I could tell you a few stories, one or two that would have this board closed down.
A wonderful raconteur with time for every one.
He loved lunch, sitting in the window of Liphook GC, as he had a view that very few golf clubs actually have ....... right behind the 1st hole - 205 yds, raised tee, and full view of the green, - and with the 18th green - par 5 - in full view and able to see all the approach shots and putts.
Golf commentary has no equal, and will never , ever have his talent and style again.

@@@Greggie .. - My captain friend was a Flyer , mostly helicopters -Hensher by name. I donot know his carrier history, , but there were not that many.
By all means , join us at the Stag on the River , Godalming, for the next meet probably looking like April / May when the weather warms up.

I rose to the rank of Private in the school CCF, and obtaine a flying pilots log in the RAF section. 15 Mins at the wheel of an RAF Anson, i/2an hour in a grounded Lancaster, and a trip down the south coast in the co-pilots seat of a Westland Air /Sea rescue helicopter. But Liphook Golf Club did have 15 Admirals on the membership at one time as well as General Frost of Arnhem fame. So I did have to learn to salute on the first tee.
All in a days golf . One of the finest courses in the UK.

Thank you to all that have kindly posted. I was a member , and Committee member , of Liphook Golf Club for 35 years. In recent times I joined Peter and my old ex Captain ( naval and Liphook GC ) for a platter lunch and a bottle of chablis ( tho' he did like his guinness ) every 2 or three months. I was also a friend of his lovely wife Jackie., By strange coincidence , I wrote a letter to Peter after the Masters to say how much I had enjoyed his Masters commentary from his home. It started ........... Dear Peter and The Rotweiller with Lip gloss ( hi Jackie ). A name used by peter when he saw his wife in the crowd.
He would normally have always replied. Now I know why he did not.
I loathe the BBC for cancelling him from their team , with Ken providing the on course back up.
They do not understand the British public.
I willnever forget him.

The great golfer, and personal friend, Peter Alliss has died. A huge loss to the golfing world.
His last broadcast was the Masters, done from his home, for Sky. I am very sad. I did give him GGP as a tip earlier this year.
