.... a straight mathematical calculation. What factors do you use .There are a myriad of factors , nearly all with variable aspects to them. How do you arrive at all the "" right "" values ???
Totally impossible. A Market Cap is only a function of SP times the issued number of shares.
What matters is how the market perceives the SP.
Some of the assets are measureable , - some are not.
When are those assets going to produce cash flow, - or be sold off??
And then there is the shareholder sentiment / perception. Changing Market demand to buy and to sell, within frequently changing global economies.
Oh and also the constantly varying price of the product - in the ground - out of the ground ..........and of course there are several products in the ground , constantly varying in price.
The proximity of the processing facilities, the distances from civilisation, the number of months in the year that you can produce, the political stability of the country in which one is producing, all the other owned but untested assets the company owns, some of which may ??? be huge , some may be dusters.
AND - the quality of those managing the operation of the company.
So what formula does one use to calculate an SP. An educated finger stuck up in the Market wind ,
market sector experience and instinct , ...............and the best Bulletin Board in the business.
I do not think this SP is that far off. A bit on the low side. And good news on the way.

Its funny.Half your life , one looks forward to the week-ends. Nowadays, one looks forward to Monday mornings . Take professional advice. Every one has different circumstances.
Size of fund, Tax rate, spouse, other income, tax free cash, etc.
But in general terms , I would aim to withdraw maximum amount to fund your ISA /wife ISA ( grand children ISAS ??? ) avoiding higher tax rates .
I would prefer to max ISAsas you then have no tax liability and freedom to withdraw when needs must.

Having woken up in a state of great shock, fallen out of bed, suffered palpitations, and then glued myself to the chat board ( and I suspect I was not alone ) .......listened to Proactive after a hearty breakfast, read the Berenberg revised summation , digested the outpourings of an uncertain board membership, reread the conclusions of the wise and perceptive ones............. I am now relaxed and confident again that we have now moved up a level. Not a single word of criticism for GH - quite the contrary. Even revising my own forecasts for Xmas ( upwards ). My afternoon tea and a large slice of ( my homemade ) Xmas cake are beckoning. I will consume with a big smile on my face.
The future remains golden.

@@@ Jackthe bear, - I did also state that none of us yet know the background reasoning. It could be health, family, exhaustion, change of life, - all sorts, - but absolutely certain , not for reasons of GGP disaster or failure. And the ongoing growth and expansion of GGP is essentially our primary interest, and that looks assured.
But I had great admiration for GH , and am sad to see him go.

Interestingly , the Proactive interview reveals Seans early plans , once Covid is eliminated and the vaccine plans are successful, for UK roadshows to meet his shareholders.I guess that they will be well attended. Sean mentioned the GGP shareholder support several times ,as did GH, so hopefully we will not be sidelined as the new GGP smashes all growth records. GGP is an unusual company insofar as its massive pi support, and no doubt GH has stressed this to Sean .
A very unique company - GGP. And after what might have seemed ( to me certainly ) to be initially bad news, the SP has only shuddered slightly early on, and will be back in the blue by COP.

When I saw an RNS at 7-20 this morning , I thought Scally news. I opened up ,and nearly fell out of bed - perplexed.
And then I listened to the Proactive interview - mandatory listening to anyone who wants to post a comment.
Absolutely re-assured. Do not yet know all the background facts , but every word spoken was to underline the next levels of growth and success for GGP. Sean came over brilliantly , obviously confirming that he was thrilled to be picking up the reins of a company that was moving up and on.
All of my uncertainties were blown away. Roll on GGP , we have a huge future.

Only a piddling 83 million shares ???? -- the Stag Gang has an approximate ( Hydro has the figures ) 300 million shares , and - a pure guestimate - this board around / approaching 1 Billion . Quite unusual for pis to have such significant %ages , albeit this is now starting to adjust as the iis move in.

@@@ Bamps- you take me back to my early years ,living in a flat in Redland Road, Bristol. I worked in Queens Square with ICI next to a Berni Inn, but also used to inhabit the Ladooer Trow, with its 100 yard queues to get a table on a Saturday night , large schooners of dry sherry in a myriad of bars, and fantastic medium rare steaks or half a roast duck. Aldo Berni played golf at my club , Shirehampton G C and I was there the day he changed from his brown Jaguar car to his first Rolls Royce. Happy days. Bristol was a very fine city.
