Am I missing something in all this doom and gloom talk ? If institutions are happy to buy at 8p do you think they are expecting to lose money ? Short term the price may drop, but medium to long term the institutions are betting it will rise, if not why would they buy ? Also, while galling to PIs who have been excluded, just wait until the SP drops to 8p and then buy in the market. Simples.

So not surviving the bear market in one piece doesn't mean bankruptcy ?

Those that don't like the merger are at odds with the BOD of BOTH companies. They BODs clearly discussed this at length before announcing it, and are confident that the merged company will be better placed for the future. I think that these guys are more informed than most investors to know the best course of action.
It seemed to me that any price below 50 was a good buy and so jumped in with 25000 @ 48.4. Hope I don't regret it !
