We should not lose sight of the fact that over half the trades are made by algorithmic bots doing high frequency trading. Their second-to-second decisions are what manipulates the price.

This is moving on good volume today. Pushed the boat out and bought 23000 more @ 24.3 so expect it to tank now folks !

On the last day of the big rise frpm 14p to 30+p the volume was 66 million. Since then the volumes are well down. Big traders bought on the way up (accumulation) and are now taking their profits (distribution). Just my take on the price action.

Trelawny, you forgot PPI which the banks were still mis-selling even after they had been castigated for it. Anyone who thinks banks are honest needs their head examined.
