David Pummell's comment on the leak published in the Annual Report 2017 and dated 22 May 2018: ENVIA In 2Q 2018 we announced the disappointing news that a leak has been detected at the Oklahoma City plant that is believed to have originated inside one of the plant�s two FT reactors. Based on a preliminary investigation the Company believes the root cause of the issue originated with the design of an ancillary system and is not a result of a flaw in the core Velocys FT technology. The Company is working with ENVIA and third party consultants to verify the root cause of the leak. Velocys remains committed to the ENVIA plant and will work with ENVIA to assess the likely repair cost and consequent funding requirements. Market cap remains at �55.49M, which by my rudimentary maths equates to 16.8p/share. It is also noteworthy that a much higher proportion of dealing today is automatic. I suspect a few people with optimistic set limits have caught a cold. Sitting firmly on my hands. Wonder if the financial results will be announced this week, and whether any accompanying statements will quell the unrest among PIs.

Given the firm and decisive decisions so far on Brexit, it is hardly surprising! HMG is surviving on an almost day to day basis and little things like F4C are way down the list of things that need to be done. I guess those of us who have LTBH ambitions just have to sit on our hands and await developments. I've been doing it for several years but do believe that this time it will realise its full potential eventually.

A Private Eye article discussing the effects of the recent US sanctions on Russian money which now includes "those who knowingly facilitate significant transactions ....for or on behalf of any person subject to US sanctions". This, of course, includes many of the Russian oligarchs resident in UK. RA was not named in the list published by the US treasury department earlier this year but the article implies that all his UK assets could be at risk, which could be an issue if he is considering buying out Velocys. Not for the first time there were two big (circa 500K) trades right at the close. I presume that this is mms consolidating their position. Quite happy with a modest daily gain. Long may it continue. LTBH

Could it be that they are concerned about insider trading and all the potential good news still to be confirmed, which they may well be party to, or are they still being extremely cautious, as they were earlier in the year! For the CEO to have such a paltry holding at this juncture is frankly surprising. Should there be a hostile takeover bid, any thought on the potential price. LSE currently shows market CAP at �44M.

Volume is currently around 300K and more than 50% are designated as automatic trades. As a means of flushing out those PIs with set-loss settings at 10p, one can hardly fault it. If, say, HMG were to announce that VLS had been successful in its bid for a grant to build a plant in UK, the potential upside is, IMHO, considerable. Amazing that nobody is buying at the sub 10p level. Wish I had some spare cash. DYOR

Looks like the mms are hoovering up the automatic sells @ 10p. Wonder why they should want to do that? DYOR

You would have thought so, but looking at today's trading, where buyers exceed sellers by a considerable margin and yet the SP is down by 4%, you have to think that there is something going on which the MMs know about but we, the PIs, do not. But then again it is AIM! DYOR

Could this morning's rush of (relatively) small buys have any connection with the availability of ISAs for FY 2018/19, I wonder? FWIW I just bought (0930) for 10.1 so I suspect that everything today, despite the reds, are buys. Onwards and upwards (hopefully)

I notice that the directors have not added to their holdings following the RINS announcement, which seems a little strange. Any thoughts?

Further to my previous, just received this from Fyffes: Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, our hands were tied in relation to this payment which is, in fact, funded by Sumitomo Corporation rather than Fyffes. Under the Scheme of Arrangement rules it was necessary to pay this consideration in Euro. Your final 2 cent per share dividend which is being paid later this week is being funded by Fyffes and will be paid in Sterling to shareholders with UK addresses in the usual way. My cheque, too, was in euros as opposed to the GB P of all my dividend cheques. Queried it with Computershare UK who were usimpathetic and suggested that their Irish branch were following Fyffes instructions. As I see it, Fyffes are passing on, unfairly, costs and inconvenience to their shareholders. I have raised this with Fyffes and await (not too hopefully) a response.
