The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
'Fanny Willis' now got me an old Sweet song going round in my head, it's called Sweet Willy and goes "But you can't push Willy 'round Willy won't go, try tellin' everybody but, oh no Little Willy, Willy won't go home"
Expecting a bundle of asterisks there
Normally find the shares I've sold out on I regret selling later at a higher price, so hanging onto these as best I can personally. Stockopedia rates it highly too. I think £1 in the short term might be a big ask, medium term yes
Beat me to it !
Interesting numbers on SL Big, I tend to agree with your last statement " Westminster Security Group will not exist by the end of 2024", however some doubts about the numbers, surely if:
"WSG trousered £3.7M YE 2022" = at presumably around $39/pax
and
"I’d be surprised if WSG are bagging much more than £4.00 pr dep pax" (on the current deal)
surely they would have run out of cash/overdraft by now as they have nowt else to prop up the balance sheet ?
"any posters that keep coming on here saying they just made £10k-£20 in one hit should be taken with a pinch of salt"
it can happen but those ones that do will also be the ones that tell us they've blown their life savings when their penny share goes bust, read it many times before can be heartbreaking but when I hear they've put it all on one share the fault is all theirs. When I started this game I was up £10k on one share (a minnow) and even added at the top, before I watched all that profit disappear but I learnt my lesson and now I do ok and profitably, I've even occasionally traded that share to 'get my own back' and managed to get close to breakeven on it by doing so.
I am tempted since I'm well in profit here from trading the covid bounce, I've been in and out recently but out when it just didn't feel right, I had a feeling something was up when it didn't bounce with conviction and my gut was right. The debt situation is the main concern but the bank have increased the facility recently by £3m, this is touch and go though and you could easily get a further rns in time saying they've broken the covenants, you could however just as easily get an rns saying they've received settlement on a legal case that they had previously written off (they wrote down several of these to 0 on their books in a recent rns), that might be a good time to buy.
Ok think it's worth a punt, could only buy the last ones available under 4. Maybe this is the Santa bagger there's always one
Yeah but if PEG suddenly tell us they're delisting we'll know why it was a distressed seller. On the other hand that would be an obvious case of insider trading like no other, either way I may assume there's more to sell as the nearest share ownership of that size is about 1m away.
Fascinating !
There's only 2 shareholders with that many to sell so which one ?
El-Khereiji Financial Company WLL
Corporation 8.6m
Charwell Investments Ltd.
Corporation 5.1m
Talking of tricks your target was 20-25 below non ?
"identified 7 pieces of equipment that are posing a potential risk to future production"
Jeez ! I was interested and I didn't attend but 7 ffs that's too many fires to fight for me for a company that has already been shown to be inefficient !
From the interims:
"We look forward to delivering further growth and improvements over the remainder of 2023, building on our 2022 results. The key to achieving this, of course, is to secure new contracts with enough time to recognise revenues in the year and we are working hard to deliver that. We remain positive about our future growth prospects."
aka h2 weighted, aka extremely unlikely with one month left
My stance is more simplistic, the shorts haven't budged one iota and that's a good enough reason for me to wait for a better opportunity, they tend to know what they are doing in my experience
