Morning Whizzer, I understand your frustrations, it's been a long year.
You may possibly get a little comfort with some direct contact with TLOU.
Yes there were claims of "tantalisingly close" and "near future" but it's clearly a complicated process. For me personally this has some serious upside potential and is why I'm here..! Sure it's a gamble but we know that.
I'm in contact quite regularly which helps with me personally.
This week I was informed that we have received correspondence from new potential funders, probably off the back of the Ministers field trip.

I'd much prefer a finance deal with BPOPF rather than Aliko if that were possible Brad.

Hi MFM, i personally think the signing off of the interim PPA will come hand in hand with a finance agreement, it means little without finance.
That said I do personally think the PPA is a formality if the finance gets sorted.

If he is interested in TLOU (and my gut feeling is he could well be from reading the report) then that would be good news.
I must admit I'd prefer to be supported by the Pension Fund if that was possible, I think that would be a great fit, a win win but options are always favourable.

Brad, i didn't literally mean solar would provide 24 hr power. A hybrid project with solar by day and gas by night would however produce 24 hr baseload.

Brad I've been in contact with the company and they've confirmed that solar is very much part of the plan going forward.
As for funding, they have also stated that they want the best deal available and the solar inclusion brings more green focussed financiers to the table. Solar obviously allows for 24 hour power.
Whilst the finance deal is taking time I'm sure the company isn't looking at a short term spike in SP (although I'm sure a number of PI's are) but are looking at the bigger picture.
They are fully aware of the huge potential upside which is totally understandable IMO. I'd suggest they are trying to build a company on strong foundations instead of sand.
I'm happy with the RNS's but am also not surprised at the reactions.

In addition I'm not suggesting solar is not in the mix, just that it wasn't mentioned in my conversations.

Whilst not wanting to stir up trouble between you lads, Brad is correct, there was zero mention of Solar from any of my dialogue with CC There has been however plenty of opportunity for him to mention it from the probing questions I offered up.

Oh I forgot to add, TLOU are more than aware of the huge potential upside with this project but will not just accept any old finance deal.
I'm more than happy with that.

I must admit Brad the interview was very good and has left me more than comfortable the way this is heading, yes it's a slow process and complex but slowly, slowly catchy monkey.
I recieved the link off CC and have had a good amount of dialogue with him over recent months.
A few bullet points being;
The interim PPA has been agreed, signing is a straightforward process and we don’t foresee any issues with this. Indications are that it's just a case of getting the required personnel together to finalise.

TLOU have an excellent relationship with BPC, in fact both teams were out in the field just a couple of weeks ago as part of the transmission line work.

The main focus at the moment is finance, completion of the transmission line engineering and design, followed by the tendering.

As for the 10MW tender, as MM correctly states this is still currently being assessed by the Attorney General’s Chambers in Gaborone. The way I've interpretted it and this is only my opinion, before Christmas last year TLOU were informed of a imminent, positive outcome. Obviously that hasn't happened (as yet) and I think TLOU have learnt a lesson from making something like that public without it being finalised.

Morning chestermikeb, I personally can't see how the sp wouldn't increase more than it did after the agreement of the Interim PPA tbh.

Hi Brad, I must say I took some comfort from it too.
I've also made contact with tlou directly and they don't forsee any issue with signing the "agreed" interim ppa and are pushing hard for the "right" finance deal. They are not willing to take a bad deal, tlou are obviously aware of the huge potential upside of this project should everything go to plan.
There's no doubting it's a complex and there is much to do but I'm happy to watch this develop. I guess we all need to make our own call as always.

Thanks Appiamma, I just wasn't sure if it was to somehow assist in a potential finance deal. I know we are OK for funding for a while but this wont last forever.

Has anyone got any thoughts on the potential Resolution No5 at the AGM..?
