RE: What's going on12 Sep 2020 22:02
Hi lads, i'd have to add, and this is only my opinion, I don't think we'd be any further down the road with another CEO to be fair.
I think TG is an astute businessman and is doing everything in his power to make this happen, why wouldn't he.
He has plenty of time, effort and skn in this company (unlike GG who for me is a waste of time)
In my opinion all the issues lie with the BPC who may now want more than Tlou believed was on offer.
You only need to look at their performance to date to realise they are a complete shambles of an organisation imo.
I even think the interim PPA was possibly agreed because TG may have threatened to pull the plug so to speak which wouldn't benefit the Botswana public officers Pension fund.
I certainly agree that this needs resolving sooner rather than later so let's hope TG gets this over the line once and for all.
Last but not least, if TLOU are legally entitled to sell to the SAPP then maybe obtaining funding elsewhere is the obvious solution and just bypass the BPC, I'm not sure if that is an option legally however and I'm sure working with the BPC must make things easier going forward.
