Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Glad I sold at 4073p for a tidy profit. Will continue to watch this. Cost of production to remain high given oil and gas prices.
I need 12p clear of spread to get out. Does anyone think we will ever see this level again?
Last time I bought at 1088p and sold at 1332p for a very tidy profit. Oil price and cost of living rises are weighing heavy here and worries over wider escalation. My feeling is that JET2 will go lower below 1000p maybe wherupon it will be real bargain basement territory as the real trading level is nearer 1300p. Good Luck.
Great post @treacle24. I have given you recommendation. I was watching ASC for a while and finally bought in at 2588p. TBH anything below 3000p seemed like a bargain but I followed the short and thought it had finished. It is now at bargain basement levels. It will suffer in short term from the Russian sactions and shop closures but long term shuold be over 3000p IMO. Good Luck.
Why is that then?
So is the next iceage. One has to be a HOLD on this one. Good Luck.
Inside sources rumour that Putin is partial to the humble British sausage roll and that he keeps a tupperware box of them under his desk at the Kremlin to be consumed after delivering his marathon rambling speeches. It is also rumoured that he has received emergency medical attention following a failed assassination attempt where his usual stock of the sumptuous savoury was infiltrated with a stale example. This will probably be hushed up as it is negative propaganda highlighting a potential vunerability. Given the morale boosting effect of this porkine pastry I am a strong buy on GRG and expect a strong rebound above 3000p in the coming weeks. Good Luck Everyone and stay alert.
Nice Quangoman...
The engine technical difficulties have thier inception at the design phase of a program. Sadly RR have underinvested in home grown engineering resource over many years and seen it with a 'bums on seats' mentality. They have followed the trail of other UK and US aerospace firms who do not see home grown talent as the future but would rather offshore/outsource to inexperienced suppliers to improve the short term bottom line. In parallel they recruit more home grown middle managers, program managers and business people to manage a dwindling pool of engineers. They have struck partnerships which, whilst good for the short term bottom line, permit transfer of technology to competitor states and even those who would do us harm. Sense of self-inflicted implosion...
Yes DrJ, China will be watching how the West react to Ukraine. If Putin doesn't fear sanctions Xi definitely won't. Where does this leave us? Either accept these takeovers or react militarily. Not good either way...
@Metom. They are experts in office moves and car parks. They even have chiefs of these key departments.
No choice but to average down now.
Share price down. High debt. Low cashflow. Best move is to knock a couple of buildings down and spend a couple of million of refurbing the already adequate office spaces I say.
Warren East was not a patch on Sir John Rose and the guy in between, I can't even remember his name...
I agree JMT1234. I hope that the surge in PMs translates to increase in FRES. I've always said that this has 1000p in it. It's just whether markets mess about with it. That's why I invest directly in the commodity now in most instances. These are manipulated enough but at least don't suffer manipulation that happens via insider knowledge or internal politics. Good Luck Everyone.
Screwdriver engineering company. A shadow of it's former self. Cost and programme are king.
@PortfolioPower, I am stocked up on Gold ETC SGLP and Silver ETC PHSP which I bought last year. IMO the drop in silver was disproportionate and Silver has been supressed by the markets for a long time. I like your coiled spring analysis. There will be a short squeeze this afternoon which will precede Silver rocketing maybe to ATH in short order.
I predict drop of US market this afternoon which will trigger short term PM sell off as they try to fulfill shorts. Then PMs will come back esp. gold which will exceed ATH. Good Luck Everyone and take care.
I agree with you Shaz247 a dividend here would raise the profile of MAFL and attract some more investors. It's no good JV being frustrated, he and the BOD need to do something to get this going now or we'll be sitting here in another 12 months looking at stagnant share price and huge spread. Come on do something!
Iran, Syria and North Korea aren't exactly ecomonic hotbeds right now..
