Chinese Gov. seem interested, check RNS. Not done much yet in terms of ordering any power stations, they seem more interested in assessing the technology at the moment. We know it works though and there's nothing 'as good' at the moment (plus they have the patents on the technology so no-one can copy it). This is what will make or break the company IMO - does a country like China not bother with it, or does it order that for example every cement factory they have be retrofitted with Kalina Cycle energy capture technology? If that happened I could see the SP going up x10 overnight. :D
Yeh I'm working in the water industry and have done for abotu 10 years now (including private and public sectors, plus university level research). I can't give specifics about Aqua Guardian, can only really say that globally water resources are becoming scarcer due to climate change and growing population. Evaporation from reservoirs not really an issue in the UK and much of northern europe (too cold) but it's a big problem in places like Australia, some parts of the US, Africa etc (any place warm basically). I can see Aqua Guardian type approaches becoming more attractive over time as efforts move towards water conservation rather than obtaining more supplies because in many parts of the world the existing supplies are already stretched to their limit, or soon will be.
I don't think it's because anything fundamental has changed about the company, more likely they think they can invest the funds better elsewhere. WAS is a slow-burner, that's for sure...
I hope you're right, however there needs to be some significant gains here before we're back on track. We're still down massively from the IPO price and I would guess that most people are either holding at a loss or sold at a loss (I'm down over 50% at the moment).
Just gives the impression they don't care about the company doesn't it?
Not looking good here. Sub 1p on the cards I think.
Always the same here....it's just down, down. down no matter what happens.
Progress of sorts, still need to have that "wow" moment though to really kick things off here. :-]
Probably just people getting bored. Nothing is happening here after all...
Trust me there are worse share. I'm also in Max Petroleum. They have near tripled their oil production in the last year or so but the SP is down 50%. Go figure.
Still only worth about £16k. Wouldn't get too excited...
Yeh I agree tapemeasure. One of the more confusing aspects of the lacklustre share price is the involvement of John Byrne. Given how well he did with Western Coal I would have thought his involvement would be a key rallying point for this share and give investors every confidence it will do well. Also he must know what it takes to make a successful company so would have expected to see a bit more "razzmatazz" but it doesn't seem to be happening. Everything is so low key and boring that it's just not capturing anyone's imagination.
It's probably my fault, every share I'm invested in is the same. Good news followed by more good news but the SP always goes down...
Probably nothing...
SP is rubbish.
Hey leas at least buy some shares if you're going to moan. At least I have some in MXP - £10k's worth gives me the right to moan I reckon. :P
They probably won't, WAS still haven't had that "wow" moment where they release an RNS with news so good that everybody wants in. This is a long-term investment and will probably be a slow-burner rather than a share that doubles or triples in price overnight. Still, if you can afford to wait then we could be looking at a multibagger in a few years time. :)
They need to start making some substantial revenues sometime in the next couple of years though. Can't run a company for long with sorts of losses...
:D
