I have asked a couple of recent questions of IR which have not been answered. I have chased but suggested that if busy they may be reframed as AGM questions. First is to do with Malaysia and reporting and relevant income of the new gas boepd, second is to do with North Sea Carbon capture and recent hydrogen funding and business model behind either.

Malaysia Arbitration extended again to mid July 23. Seemed insignificant when it started. About £12.5million at stake if goes against which is currently about 4.2% of market cap. Not sure if there is counter claim gain if it goes for us.

Anybody got a guess on what this is worth once it kicks in?

I'll have a go using Hibiscus realised Gas Price Q4 22 of about $4.71/mscf discounted by 50% (which is what my wholesle gas unit cost might have done between then and now) and using Enquest Malaysia opex 2018-22 average of $21boe, then I come in at around £28million a year profit before Malaysian tax at current exchange rates.

Lots of variables, anyone else have a stab??

Disturbing times for Enquestrians and I'm not sure I'm going to help.

NSTA February in and with Malaysia caveat I have 46,689 boepd. So with reported March end figure of 47,800 that would give a nice March improvement, maybe from Malaysia, maybe from GEAD. I think I will spend less time thinking it up and more time following guidance as it rarely falters outside of the exceptional.

This post was originally titled "NSTA and Your Gods" and made a link between people believing in current politicians and climate activist positioning on the North Sea and Fossil fuels alongside the irrational belief in religion. That made me despondent as, in my opinion, it reinforces the power of herd mentality and the mounting battle that needs to be argued and won. However it did prompt the question "Who is the God of Oil?"

Alright, probably more to do with Olives or Date Palms, but essentially a life force extractor whose wrath was to be feared.

Take away a life force, lets call that heating your home or the ability to travel or make a living, and there are consequences. It won't take long before the **** hits the non revolving electric fan and leaves a more centralised mess to be cleared up than originally expected.

Totally on the NSTA map. NNS Area 1 sits on top of all those NS assets redundant or otherwise.

CCS seems to be a thing with government drive and finance behind it but equally argued by the negaters as a way for fossil companies to continue doing their fossil based thing with little benefit. A bit old below but he couldn't see the sense in it. Magnus gas gets a mention re collaboration required.

LTH's here might remember that this admittedly high risk investment years ago was meant to pay for university fees. They are both finished and employed now but a few dividends would help offset the loans. Hasn't gone as planned for me and many of us.

Both CS applications will be in NS Area 1. The Magnus associated gas going up the EOS pipeline system being replaced by CO2. It is a perfect fit, operator of Sullom Voe, a pipeline and a bunch of redundant wells in NS Area 1 .

It is front page on the website. It is all about repositioning and not about oil/gas extraction current or future. We are striving to be a clean green energy machine who happens to do some of that other historical stuff but we don't talk about it anymore. We do it to make a profit but also to play a part in preventing national/global societal meltdown, but diplomatically tight lipped about that also.

I think off the record genuinely forward looking but with a realistic understanding of the value and longevity of the NS energy assets. So give us a chance . . .

From mid Feb.
"The planned two well infill drilling campaign is ongoing, but delayed. The first wellbore, having failed to locate
reservoir-quality sands, was plugged and the well was side-tracked to the second target. Adverse weather conditions
have resulted in expected first production from this well being deferred into the second quarter of 2023"

The screening Direction has side tracks planned for a "worst-case drilling scenario".

We're in the second quarter. Maybe something forward looking in the FY22 upcoming.
