Hi Enquestrians,
Dec 22 NSTA in.

I'm inflating Malaysia a bit for year end but I have just under 51k boepd which is absolute top end of 22 guidance.
Someone asked. Swinney is living under a bush in my local park. I drop him a Lambrini every other week and we have a brief chat about the good ole days.

Hi,
What a woefully composed piece of staged comms. I'm not au fait with Proactive Investors but I hope they aren't all like that. I know there is a difference twixt academia and business leadership but i bet my life he'd rather do a stunning powerpoint and bamboozle us all with graphs and statistics.
Gaining some traction though in my humble opinion.

Hi,
Green light at Magnus with reference North West Magnus infill well, "Accordingly, the Group is progressing plans to drill a water injection well in the first quarter of 2023 to provide pressure support to this well."

Magnus is off the naughty step and moving towards top of the class.

Hi Hobione.
Like AimOil said, but if you want the full journey it's like being an under acheiving, drug addicted, overweight, syphillis laden, asylum seeking, arsonist and incontinent step child at a will reading at present. We're just not very popular right now.
Showers of unicorn semen shortly. Probly (sic) shouldn't post so late but we need the entertainment . . .

Hi,
Apologies, a little gas glitch for Magnus and GEAD, thought I had cleared it pre Xmas. L3 pointed out and I did a subtle covert adjustment. Good now I think.
For Malaysia i have just ramped some predicted increases from September up to 8.5k for December. Without an NSTA equivalent for Malaysia, we never know till we know.

Hi,
Graph overview of 2022 and a broader look at Magnus and Kraken.
https://myminiurl.net/ue2SQ
Nov - Magnus oil up 12% and gas down 2% from October. Will it get higher??

Hi,
I found this a while back:
https://www.spe-aberdeen.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/1445_1.DEVEX-2022-Kraken-V4.pdf
. . which feeds nicely into the current murmurings on Bressay/Bentley. Very technical document but jump to final pages 15 and 16. Very positive language way back in May 22.

Hi,
Petroatlantic making tracks to Rotterdam. According to Marine Traffic "Underway by sail" which adds a nice eco twist to the last load of the year.
The Romaron Challenge - Notwithstanding a small miracle I have just asked my eldest daughter, who does a bit of statistics, what the word is to describe a group of people who predicted a numerative value much higher than the actual value, thinking that there would be a suitable statistical term for us. I briefly talked about "outliers" and "anomalies" but was told that wasn't the way to go. She suggested "Idiots"!!
Have a good one all,

Hi
Using NSTA reporting forlast clearish 12 months of Magnus running (Sep 20-Aug 21) saw gas produced average around 2350boepd. Oct 22 was 3415 boepd, so all being equal a lift of just over 1000boepd. Value that as you please.
Magnus produced gas averages around 21% of production and in October 22 was 24%.
I take the update statement "Additional modifications were also undertaken to allow for indigenous Magnus gas exports of up to 20 mmscfd." to mean the total capacity for gas is now 20mmscfd (or around 3545boepd) which is around the current production level.

Hi,
So....this shows on page 12 UK electricity generated by fuel type to Q2 22 new data due 22/12/22.
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1107639/Energy_Trends_September_2022.pdf
The associated graph download notes say this:
"Fossil fuel generation up with increased generation from gas:
UK fossil fuel generation totalled 33.2 TWh in Quarter 2 2022, a 3.1 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Gas generation rose by 4.0 per cent to 32.3 TWh between Quarter 2 2021 and Quarter 2 2022 as gas plants were needed to meet the total demand for electricity, including the demand for exports. Despite the rise in absolute terms, the share of electricity generation by gas was down 1.7 percentage points compared to a year ago, though it does remain the single biggest source of UK electricity generation at 40.9 per cent of generation. Coal generation meanwhile totalled 0.5 TWh, down 37 per cent compared to Quarter 2 2021."
I have no frikkin clue on logistics but is there a point where oil becomes cheaper than gas or more necessary for electricity generation? We know that coal has been resurrected.
Late night post Messi ponderings . . . .

Hi,
Again going by NSTA but the company quoted "average Magnus production during October of c.17,000 Boepd." for October is actually just under 17,500 Boepd. Enquest never shout from the rooftops, but what's 500 boe per day amongst friends?

Hi,
Enquest are recruiting a Driiling Superintendent:
"The EnQuest Wells Team are currently engaged in well decom activities on Heather and Thistle as well as in the revitalisation of the Magnus field since 2017. Future activities for the team are likely to involve a combination of subsea decom and new development opportunities on Kraken, Bressay and Bentley Fields.
We currently have a vacancy for a Platform Drilling Superintendent for the ongoing Magnus scope of work. . . . This involves a combination of new well delivery, base production protection and offline intervention activities. Well activity is ongoing and will continue for several years with a full 5 yearly rig recertification planned for the end of 2023."
New developments at KBB "likely". Magnus activity "several years".

Hi,
The Scottish Energy Forum has appointed Donna Sutherland to its board of directors. She brings 20 years of experience in energy markets, regulation, power networks, oil and gas terminal transformation and operations to the role. Sutherland is currently a manager for EnQuest’s Infrastructure and New Energy business. She drives the identification and delivery of new electrification and hydrogen-based decarbonisation solutions at Sullom Voe, one of Europe’s largest oil terminals.
Well done Donna. You're going to be very important soon enough.
So I have a look at the "Scottish Energy Forum" and there is a webinar to register for if you want to hear the Serica CEO talk about "Infrastructure, Technology & Investment : securing North Sea supply". 7th December 1800-1930 unless you want to attend and take in the cheese, biscuits and compulsory lambrini.

Got to be a good listen with Q and A following.
