A bit of research finds that EP will be "warm stacked" and "deep cleaned" at Nigg. "Warm Stacked" I discover is left operational in a "ready to go" state and costs considerably more than cold stacking (lights off nobody home) which in my mind means redeployment. Half an eye on Kraken and S/C ongoing also of course. Could be a good month. For me it is like being a sports pundit where you have no knowledge of the tactics or rules but can at last access the previous results.

Today's announcement reeks of cleverness but I have no idea why. Maybe have to go into the geology a bit more but those subsea stratographs lose me unless there is a dinosaur involved.

My industry is with goodwill emerging in an altered state in a couple of weeks and due to circumstances we are going to have an unprecedented emergence party (distanced pizza) as part of the process. My enviromental science daughter has just finished a dissertation on the downside of CO2 flux in hydroelectric dam projects. The jury is out whether the eco benefits of apparently clean power outweigh the CO2 emissions. Always going to be controversial stuff until it isn't. Batteries and carbon capture interesting right now.

Hi All,

This lockdown is turning into a "Luckdown". It's like treading (trading?) glue and we were destined to ride on rainbow flavoured unicorns.

As an aside from the shipspotting, Saipem 7000 has been doing unfortunately named "DP Trials" out of Eemshaven for the last few days. I remember that she was scheduled to do some Thistle seabed deccommissioning previously so may be that way bound shortly.

I'd llove to give some insightful but irrelevant,sexually nuanced virtual update but no material to play with right now.
