How I read the rns was that further meetings in SA would take place in feb not that anything would be agreed.
Something from SA by the summer (if it’s going to happen at all) would be my deadline.
Hate to be a damp tentacled sea creature but that was my interpretation from that.
Great update though overall if we are ebitda positive then so much the better.
Everyone plays dumb with the damp squid gag now ??
Perhaps I’m overly optimistic but we could easily hit 15p tomorrow and more than that if we get some proper details.
Am not holding my breath though.....
Come back from lunch to a 0.7p rise - can't be bad!
Think we are all expecting a decent update on Friday, so maybe people getting in ahead of that?
Jimzi I agree with you, but its clear the market doesn't.
I dunno - I'm starting to doubt myself here a bit. Easy to see how people have become trapped in this share for 7+ years. Success is always almost there, but only seems to exist in some parallel universe where Trump never got elected and MPS/GHPA didn't have a dispute. Can almost see it/feel it, but is frustratingly out of reach.
Maybe we'll get news on something soon, but it could equally be that its 1st May and we are still having the same conversation, especially if no January update is provided. Frustrating is not the word........
Hello WSGers,
Can everyone who joined Tosh's FF league drop him an email at dci.toshlines@gmail.com please?
He's lost some email addresses and isn't posting on here any more.
Cheers on behalf of Tosh.
h&n - "It was always a percentage . There is no way MPS would pay the agreed mount until their dealings with GHPA had been finalised"
I could understand if we didn't get paid for the proposed new tariffs, which are only recently live. But surely we'd have been paid at the old tariff rate? Which is only 10.9% or whatever less than the "full" amount. My concern is the big discrepancy between what we have been paid and what I was expecting, even at the "old" rates.
I'll still hold to find out, but am preparing myself for a disappointment.
Plenty of other irons in the fire I know - but was expecting more from Tema.
The contract will land, the important question is what are the terms.
A few 100k for 6 months work is nowhere near what I (and I think most LTHs on here) were expecting. Maybe there is a good reason for that i.e. currently only getting a %age of the agreed fee, but nobody knows at the moment.
More uncertainty, which is not what is needed right now.
I still think this will come good, but confidence is dented a little at the moment with the very poor figures for earned revenue from Tema.
hereandnow "it is a proportion, had this confirmed long ago."
was that confirmed by PF? Did I miss something from a company announcement?
Several hundred k is certainly not what I was expecting for 6 months work and a few hundred thousand TEUs processed. That is massively disappointing.
We had better hope that we aren't getting the full amount (even under the old tariffs) that we are due and they are waiting until the contract is signed to give us the balance. Seems like an odd way to do things though, if we are working and they are happy with us, why aren't we getting the full amount due? Surely this isn't normal? Its a warning sign for me that the TEMA contract isn't all that. Hope I am wrong.
Feeks, that made me laugh :) He's hardly ever in!! +1 from me.
Come on temaparty don’t be a spoilsport!
Give us something to get excited about........
20th December is fine with me, just as long as its before Father Christmas arrives!
We may drift down to 11-12p over the next couple of weeks, but thats all pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Am certainly not going to try and skim 10% now as my timing is usually awful and I'd miss the big jump.
My strategy will be to sell 20-25% post RNS (hopefully 40p+).
I intend to keep the rest and see how things play out over the next year.
I haven't seen any other companies with such high potential. Granted it is all still potential and we all know how things have gone over the last few years, but I firmly believe landing Tema will put us in a whole different league.
Both in ease of winning other tenders and also market sentiment.
I think we'll see some fomo in play tomorrow, so am expecting a finish above 15p going into the weekend.
Temaparty, If your 6th post was as accurate as your first 5, then we'll all be happy!
I love it when a plan comes together (gets cigar out)
All the right sounds coming from WSG at the moment!
Would say with a Saudi MSC, £1 is a probability, not a possibility.
McD - the 1 trade did stand out a little :)
We had a buy of 1 the other day too.
What is the believable conspiracy theory about these trades?
Some movement now!
I don't have L2 - hows it looking?
DHC - from the article,
“The GPHA has finally got the 20 per cent container cargo handling request. Paperwork will be done by the middle of next week for final discussions, approval and signature by the close of the month or in December and we hope labour agitation will cease,” they said.
Its still somewhat vague, but I think we are looking at 1st week of December earliest and just before Xmas latest. That is presuming there aren't any more issues (like MPS shareholders voting against the deal).
Odds have to be massively in our favour now though.
