" Why are people paying attention to the people that are paid to try their best to make people sell"
Come on face reality. Nobody is paid to encourage people to sell this stock. The SP has already collapsed so why is there any need for the underhand activities you are alluding to?
"What are people's views in terms of what realistically is coming or is a rerate very unlikely here"
In my opinion the original re rate from March 2020 was based on hype, sentiment and greed. The fundamentals were never there to support the share price at the time. Yes there was potential due to the product but that was never realised. The smart money made money on the hype and then either sold or derisked by taking some off the table.
Sadly it never came to fruition and many are now sitting on a huge loss. You have to ask yourself if you can see anyway the company can reach the higher SP based on fundamentals, because the initial hype from the pandemic is not coming back IMO.
And please do not put the blame for your losses squarely at Budd, yes we will have opinions of his performance but you are the ones that clicked buy. High reward carries high risk and sometimes it pays off others not. The ones that put in 100% of their spare money have now realised that perhaps it is not the best strategy.
Why are so many people desperate to get their average down? I would have thought researching a company that might generate some revenue would make more sense.
It seems to be a theme of the AIM that people find every reason under the sun to avoid selling at a loss. Sometimes it is a necessary evil to give up and move on.
"And for all those wanting "orders" or "sales reports", this news will be made available when it's best for the business, not you."
Best for everybody would have been months ago. A share placing is neither good for the company or existing shareholder.
You are late to the game here. The time to ramp this was October 2020 not October 2021. You might have found somebody who believed you this time last year.
"Too many on here with their own agendas. This should be a board that supports the Company. We all know that it is on the cusp of a wave. The future is indeed bright
If you are not here for the right reasons please clear off and the sooner the better..."
Lth14 you are the only person on here who still has an agenda. Everybody else now raises fair and objective points.
"They're trying to force sells...."
Look at the 7 month price movement. Nobody needs to force holders to sell, they have been all to happy to sell. Finding buyers might be another story.
"French Connection. It has a valuation of £20 million which is ridiculous for what is still a very respected brand"
Is it? With the increased cost of living I would suspect that the sort of people buying low end 'designer' goods will be tightening the purse strings on non essentials.
"Especially the people that bought at 3 pound"
I would not have much sympathy for them. The market cap at £3 was never in a million year realistic. They were blindly jumping into a spike.
How many people here actually invested here because of the hearing test, it seems to be all people are talking about now.
Second prize to salvage something perhaps.
"The £20k and £10k by Budd and Fowler is just an investment in securing their jobs for another 2 years minimum, so small price to pay. Don't forget they are on £400k and and £180k respectively, before bonus"
Not that it makes much difference but in the interests of accuracy I think DB got paid around £437k inclusive of bonus last year as per the November 2020 annual report. Rather than before bonus.
But yes I agree that the directors needed to show willing to buy into the placing to demonstrate confidence for bigger money to follow.
“All of the Company's Directors intend to participate in the Fundraising either via the Placing or the Open Offer. The £ sterling amount they each intend to subscribe for is as follows: David Budd - £20,000, Matthew Fowler - £10,000, Ian Gilham £10,000, Tom Lindsay - £15,000 and Chris Yates - £5,000.”
Look at the bigger picture toma.kyuch.
Can you imagine how it would be received by the city if they did not take part?
What has the company achieved by way of revenue on the back of the last 18 months work? The company needs to convince big money to buy into the placing. If the placing is not well subscribed then where is the operating capital going to come from?
No operating capital and then what?
"BB I disagree. This is a short term hit. Cash is required so the shareholders have to cough up-simple. They are the ones set to gain!"
What are you on about? If the company sold some tests they would not have needed this fund raise.
And the shareholders set to gain comment. I presume the irony is lost on you.
"Just remember profit is profit once banked it becomes profit same loss is only when sell in loss"
Utter nonsense.
"Stars i'd agree, but it's pointless if you only start delivering ince sentiment has gone. Look at NCYT at as an example, reached £12 at the height of Covid with it's PCR yet now introducing LFT's has 10's of millions in the bank, yet struggling to get above £3.50. It's all about timing on AIM"
Dave spot on. Pity nobody listened several months ago when I was saying it.
Bit odd that Genedrive are doing a placing. I thought that a takeover by Beckman Coulter was in the offing. Or was that just pollocks?
I will not call out any of the ramping crew for the time being, suffice to say they should be ashamed of themselves for the amount of wishful nonsense they were posting. Optimistic at best and intentionally misleading at worst. Whilst those who thought objectively were frequently shouted down for "deramping" or "wanting to buy in lower"
Lets hope CB keeps all future interviews to facts only. No speculation about potential JV partners. Either report a done deal or say nothing.
"Been said a million times"
And yet people still believe the hype.
A drilling result like that from January could really shift the sp significantly north. ECR minerals and Wishbone gold currently sit at around £17m market caps each. Cobra is not even at £7m yet.
On the one hand you might argue that it has been oversold, alternatively you could say it was overbought in the first place.
A similar thread pops up every time a new variant appears. Each time it gets lots of keen votes up and comments.
How many sales?
