I think its just a complete lack of knowledge rather than a mentality. The multitude of noob investors buying into testing stocks on the back of minimal knowledge is great for large buying volume coming in. Pity so many dont know how a share price relates to market cap.

Exactly Ben, there will always be an element of uncertaity over how the share price will move on the 28th. Hence I cannot see a big move north until its done and dusted.

If it were saliva testing then it might be a decent idea. Fail to see the big deal about laser testing on blood samples. Doesnt sound like something you can do at home or at a local walk in centre. Cant really see a massive advantage over the GDR test though.

National healthcare providers will want deals with big companies that can provide hundreds of thousands of tests at a time. The fewer different types of tests they have the less training is needed for their staff.

More tests will be coming to the market all the time, there is no doubt of that. However Boris has previously stated he wanted 200,00 tests a day by the end of May. Thats 1.4 million a week. Novacyt has initially committed to supply 288,000 a week for use by the NHS with possibility of increasing that. However I think they will need more companies involved if they want to get to 200k a day. If GDR got a deal with the NHS this would go into orbit. imo.

The Covid bubble as you call it certainly has not popped. If the research is accurate then only 20% of people in London have antibodies and 5% for the rest of the country. Think how many infections there have been even during the very restrictive lockdown. People are now experiencing lockdown fatigue and social distancing is slowly dropping off. They didnt build those Nightingale hospitals for fun. Unfortunately imo we will see infections on the rise starting over the next few weeks as people start to leave their houses. Testing is more important now than it ever has been.
