Liquefying natural gas is very very expensive, even more so offshore, and would need say 10 tcf of gas for a start.

The concept with subsea wells with gas piped to an onshore gas plant is the cheapest for sure.

This old article indicates only 19% for pipeline anyway. The subsea stuff is by far the most expensive bit at 49% and cutting out one well might cut cost substantially albeit production also.

As I understand they would have to redrill Anchors 1 anyway as this well was not finished as a producer. Not sure if whilst doing this they could also sidetrack into adjacent prospects if any exist?

Area covered by 3D has two (orange) massive gas prospects totallengde > 10tcf (Now estimated by Namcor to 13tcf I believe). 10 tcf is equal to 1.7 billion barrels of oil equivalent. The Venus, Graff and Mopane discoveries will have to find a solution to export their gas somehow and annd additional 10tcf+ would surely help any decision making for planning a LNG plant onshore. The Namibian government is keen on this.

The yellow prospects or plays outside the area covered by 3D are huge. Oil?? This is where Char would like to shoot 3D I guess. Namcor has been unsuccessful in farming out 2714A/B and We can only guess Char has now been tempted by additional stake to promote the licence using their extensive knowledge of the basin.

From the Investor meet company of July 24th this year I understand they are looking to secure ADDITIONAL interest in blocks 2714A/B to the 10% (back in) they already are entitled to. Namcor the state oil company are the operator I assume for the rest ie 90%. If Chariot could secure an additional 41% and take over as operator we could farm out and still be carried for a well or two whilst keeping say appt 21 % leaving the farminee with 60%.

2714 are in exploration hotspot (in the orange basin) number one adjacent to the super fan complex Woodside farmed into and very close to recent massive Mopane, Graff, Venus etc oil discoveries.

This really could be huge for Chariot!

Let’s hope they can get a deal done soon.

Maybe they will look into drilling Plie and/or Anchois West to up the resource? After all Energean did save money now by release the rig a month early as flow test. All is not lost maybe.

Looking at the 20aug RNS schematic they would drill the football pilot hole through B sands and after that pull back and drill AGAIN the B sands 100+ south with a new standard well bore downwards to underlaying targets. So hopefully what results they have told us Sep11th RNS is the pilot drilled B sands and they are now drilling again through B sands which will provide more information?

If Exxon / Hess would buy the 60% WI Eco Orinduik (which is also the license operator company) they could offset the historical losses for this company against the profits they get on their oil production in their Staebroek block I’m sure, in particular if they drill a new well on Orienduik showing they are not buying only to use the historical tax losses.

Exxon/Hess are in a unique position having oil production in Guyana already. Any other oil company buying our Eco Orinduik would not be able to offset any losses until they actually find and start producing oil in Guyana and that’s never certain in oil exploration.

With the heavy oil Hammerhead development going ahead, including our bit, I believe we will see Exxon getting involved in our block soon enough.

«US supermajor ExxonMobil has resumed appraisal work at one of its early discoveries offshore Guyana, a large area close to the central portion of the prolific Stabroek block that has been selected as its seventh project in the country.

ExxonMobil picked Hammerhead at its latest development in Guyana and expects next year to make a final investment decision to officially sanction it.

The proposed project will feature a floating production, storage and offloading vessel able to process between 120,000 and 180,000 barrels per day of oil and from 60 million to 120 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.

Hammerhead was discovered in August 2018 after ExxonMobil unlocked about 60 metres of high-quality oil-bearing sandstone reservoirs a few kilometres southwest of the Liza and Payara field.

Two appraisal wells were successfully drilled in 2019, but in an effort to verify the presence of additional volumes, ExxonMobil started drilling the Hammerhead-4 well.

According to updated information from Guyana’s Maritime Administration Department, the Hammerhead-4 appraisal well is being drilled with the Stena Drilling drillship Stena Carron.»

Was just thinking that Exxon could farm in to our Orienduik lidende and (if) they then are funding a commercial discovery they could say to the guyanese they (Exxon) are the good guys financing finding oil where others gave up!

I was thinking Exxon/Hess might have wanted to delay farming into Orienduik until they got granted the new license not to be considered too greedy to be awarded one.
